Role Overview
The ICT Project Manager at Regal Bight Fisheries Pty Ltd plays a crucial role in the improvement, delivery and management of quality business solutions, system developments, process improvements and system implementation projects in a complex environment. This position involves working closely with the business on projects for continuous business improvement and growth in a rapidly changing business environment.
The ICT Project Manager will operate in all facets of Regal Bight Fisheries Pty Ltd to identify potential technological solutions and implement continuous business improvement. The specific areas of Regal Bight Fisheries the ICT Project Manager will be working in include:
- Procurement and Purchasing
- Processing and Manufacturing
- Packing and Distribution
- Retail Fish Market
- Sales including Trade, Supermarkets and Restaurants
Role and Responsibilities
The responsibilities for the ICT Project Manager include:
- Conduct a feasibility study of existing legacy technology and make recommendations of improvement, upgrade, and redundancy
- Facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations
- Develop comprehensive project plans for seafood supply chain and production, including scope definition, timelines, budgets, resource allocation and risk management strategies for identified projects
- Developing and maintaining historical and future trend data analysis on seafood purchases
- Provide analysis and recommendation to management on areas for improvement in all areas of the business to ensure efficient and effective operations, for example, seafood supply chain, production, manufacturing and seafood harvest
- Analyze data in all business areas including procurement, seafood supply chain, post harvest production, manufacturing, packing, distribution, retail, and trade to identify areas of improvement and possible technological solutions to business inefficiencies
- Work with key stakeholders on continuous business and system process improvement
- Work with system vendors and business stakeholders on requirements gathering and specifications, including writing Business Requirement Documents
- Lead system testing and issues management and resolution, including the design and implementation of test plans and testing procedures for new system implementations
- Work with key vendors to ensure service level agreements and project timelines are adhered to
- Develop and implement technological solutions to reduce inefficiency and improve business processes in all areas, including seafood supply chain, post-harvest production, cold chain, distribution and logistics
- Identify and implement technological solutions and systems to the business, including but not limited to:
-- Monitor, control and analyze the filleting process to minimize wastage and decrease production loss
-- Automation of the cooking of raw materials to maintain correct temperature and time to produce the highest quality seafood
-- Automate and improve the value-adding processes of crumbing, marinating, and pickling. This will include tracking the material used, monitoring the process, and ensuring that products meet quality standards
-- Manage and improve delivery schedules and routes for distribution to improve efficiency and maintain customer satisfaction
-- Review and improve pick up schedules and routes for supplier and incoming products
-- Optimize the use of refrigerated vehicles, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal time, fuel, and resource wastage
-- Identify and implement a system for tracking and reporting on delivery performance, including on-time delivery rates, most direct routes, and fuel consumption
-- Identify and implement an Inventory management system including optimal storage levels, turnaround times, shelf life management, production loss and management of seafood raw materials
-- Identify and implement a Point-of-sale systems in retail and wholesale business areas
-- Identify and implement an online ordering systems platform for retail customers to purchase seafood direct, providing a convenient and user-friendly experience
-- Identify and implement a customer relationship management system (CRM) to maintain better relationships with customers and improve communication
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience working in the South Australian seafood industry. Preferred experience in businesses focused on post-harvest production, supply chain for aquaculture, marine scale, prawn or tuna harvest, distribution and retail trade
- On site experience in Seafood production factories and an understanding of the variety and types of seafood species available and sold in South Australia
- Demonstrated experience in production line, supply chain, and value adding manufacturing projects
- Demonstrated understanding of Food Safety, for example HACCP, MSC etc.
- Strong knowledge and application of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Salary Info: Salary Position at $76,989.00 per annum
