Responsibilities:

This role will assist in the initiation and setup of aviation programs and projects, design and implement automation solutions for processes, presentations, and routine tasks in collaboration with subject matter experts.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
• Learn and apply project management methodologies to ensure successful program execution.
• Help to design and implement automation solutions for scheduling processes, presentations, and other routine tasks.
• Work closely with relevant teams to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.

The department "Flight Management Systems" at Airbus Defence and Space is in charge of system design and development of avionics, in particular military and civil Flight Management Systems (FMS) and Flight Guidance functions. This covers manned aircraft and Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) like Barracuda and Eurodrone, including automatic/autonomous operations of these unmanned aircraft.

In the past years, the achievements in various artificial intelligence fields have reached mainstream popularity. Despite this technology’s advantages, its adoption to Multi-agent Flying Systems has remained limited. We are looking for a creative intern who is willing to explore, research and develop a novel multi-agent pathfinding algorithm. Methods could be  ensembled policy strategy, population-based searches, model-based or model-free adaptive control. You will be working closely within our motivated and young team and you have the chance to learn agile software development, automated testing and modern software engineering considering quality and time.

The Aviation Safety Specialist (International Liaison) applies expertise, knowledge and experience of bilateral agreements, FAA policies/regulations, and risk management principles to support agency strategic objectives through alignment, implementation, and oversight of branch activities to support those objectives.

Apply understanding of aerospace product validation and post type validation principals in order to identify, prioritize, and implement branch improvements that support safety objectives and stakeholder relationships.

Apply effective project and program management skills to support team activity that includes establishing scope and resources while executing to a schedule. The international liaison may carry out branch activities individually, act as a team leader, or participate on teams to carry out agency missions.

Apply effective and diverse communication skills as well as an understanding of cultural diversity across a myriad of foreign and FAA stakeholders and pro-actively focus on improvement of international bilateral communications, stakeholder relationships, and organizational processes associated with validation activity and related continued operational safety aspects.

Apply effective written communication skills to formulate succinct and appropriate FAA positions and create documents that compel others to take a course of action, instruct others in carrying out tasks or activities, or explain the status, purpose, goals, and objectives of the branch strategic mission surrounding a product, issue, policy, or project.
