Our client provides on-hire labour services and is currently recruiting for the position of Construction Project Manager to join a growing business in Sydney. The position will be full-time, based in Sydney, working for a growing construction business which has agreement in place to work on multiple major projects over the next couple of years.
Skills and experience required
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as construction project manager (or similar role)
Excellent attention to detail and ability to mutli-task
Strong knowledge of Australian construction industry
High level of numeracy and English literacy
Job Duties
Overall management and leadership of projects including financial management to achieve satisfactory delivery and completion within budget and to agreedtimescales in accordance with contractual requirements and business goals and objectives
Pricing of new tenders for client projects, preparation of tender schedules/documents to be submitted for upcoming works and advising senior management regarding contract proposals and documentation
Managing client relationships and liaising and consulting with engineers, professionals, contractors and third parties regarding project initiation, implementation and completion within budget and to agreed timescales in accordance with contractual requirements and business goals and objectives
Determining and directing of project resources, plant and equipment required and their procurement and appropriation to ensure projects are delivered and completed within budget and to agreed timescales in accordance with contractual requirements and business goals and objectives
Complying with appropriate legal requirements, building and quality standards, environmental, occupational health and safety and safe working requirements and ensuring building inspections satisfy regulatory bodies
Overseeing the ongoing review, interpretation, production and development of project documentation, plans, technical drawings, Work/ Methodologies, Program of Works at tender stage and project award stage, data and specifications, lodgment for approval with the necessary regulatory bodies and reporting regularly
Plan, develop, implement, participate in and evaluate training and development
strategies and programs to ensure management and staff acquire the skills and demonstrate the competencies required to meet legal requirements and business goals and objectives
Review and monitor on site staff to ensure competency, skills and knowledge of workers is current pursuant to the Safe Works Regulations
