Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Radiologic Technologist Trainee assists with a variety of radiology procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The Radiologic Trainee works under the direction of the radiologist to assist with radiographic, CT, & MRI procedures at a technical level with constant supervision from a Registered Radiologic, CT, or MRI Technologist. Room setup, patient positioning, patient screening, knowledge of Computed Radiography (CR), Digital Radiography (DR), CT & MRI quality control & safety, are shared responsibility of the Radiologic Technologist Trainee and the Technologist supervising the trainee.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Current student of an accredited radiography program.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: Two years’ of experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
