Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain the school premises by conducting routine and preventive maintenance for relevant areas.
- Supervise and ensure term contractors/service providers carry out the routines and ad-hoc works in accordance to the contracts.
- Inspect the relevant works according to inspection schedules for environmental health and safety concerns.
- Submit necessary reports on any misuse of school properties including other reports like AOR with ITQ draft which require for the improvement of the school premises and also including authority submission. Prepare service contract, invitation of quotes and cost comparison if required.
- Attend to complaints/feedback, incidents and crisis situations and submit incident reports for relevant areas of work.
- Coordinate, attend meetings and/or inspections and follow-up with Authorities/Departments and services providers.
- Maintain the relevant M&E services and equipment within the school premises including carrying out daily routine checks on the system operation (e.g M&E, BMS System).
- Recommend and seek approval from manager for all repairs/replacement works relevant to areas assigned.
- Management of Assets and Equipment inclusive of spare parts inventory, monitoring of the stock card for use of consumables e.g. light tubes.
- To effectively communicate with internal stakeholders from executive management, external supplier partners and vendors.
- Conduct fire safety management according to SCDF requirements (if required)
- Ensure that all fire and safety equipment in the school are in good shape always.
- Ensure building fire escape route are free from obstruction and building fire escape plans are in place by conducting regular fire safety checks.
- Enforce safety codes and regulations/ guidelines within the school.
- Carry out training and enlightenment of co-workers or employees as regards with general fire safety rules and procedures.
- Any other duties assigned by the Manager
Job Requirements:
- NITEC/ Higher NITEC in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Building or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in property or facilities management, facilities engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of vendor management for specialized services.
- Able to work independently as well as a team player.
- Possess good written and communication skills
- Certified Fire Safety Manager and registered with the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
