Job Responsibilities:

  • Involved in the monthly and annual closing of the financial statements, performing analysis and reconciliation to the accounts, preparation of audit schedules etc
  • Manage and mentor accountants and outsourced party in daily operations, monthly and annual closing
  • Handle full set of accounts and overseeing AR/AP/GL/FA/Treasury including partnership with outsourced party
  • Responsible for Management & Statutory Reporting of 2 entities
  • Handle operational finance issues relating to all stakeholders
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls and compliance
  • Handle quarterly GST returns and Corporate Tax matters, including ensuring accurate and timely submission of quarterly GST returns and annual income tax returns
  • Liaise with external/internal auditors for annual audit
  • Handle yearly submission of Form C with support from tax agent
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the Annual Budget
  • Ensure that operations are simple and accurately reported, controlled and recorded in accordance with legal and company requirements (ICS – Internal Control System)
  • Liaise with bank on various matters
  • Responsible to identify process improvements while balancing needs for proper governance and internal controls
  • Monthly reporting of financial statements into SAP-BPC within prescribed deadlines
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and Operations/Management as assigned

 

 Role Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (CA or CPA, Degree in Accountancy)
  • Minimum 6 years of finance/accounting experience
  • Independent, proactive and committed team player yet able to take the lead when situation arises
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact with people of various seniority and departments
  • Meticulous, able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards, corporate tax and GST
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational and project management skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Skilled in SAP and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Supervisory experience will be an added advantage
