The role also involves data analysis, reconciliation, variance investigation and documentation to strengthen the bank’s compliance with MAS requirements. The successful candidate will also assist in the adhoc financial and regulatory reporting projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Regulatory Reporting

• Team member on the Singapore regulatory reporting team owning the management and execution of MAS reporting obligations
• Manage and maintain regulatory reporting frameworks and governance with offshore support team in India
• Support finance initiatives including driving automation and process improvements specifically eg for MAS 1003, MAS1111, SFA Risk based capital
• Assist in preparation and/or review of other MAS/SGX returns and prudential returns. Maintain and update interpretation document and standard operating procedures (SOP).

Trade Reviews & Analysis

• Conduct regulatory analysis of structured trades and complex transactions to ensure appropriate capital and regulatory reporting
• Support the approval process for new products and transactions through relevant governance committees

Regulatory Change Management

• Lead implementation of regulatory reporting changes, coordinating across functions to ensure timely and compliant adoption
• Develop change management frameworks and processes to handle ongoing regulatory evolution

Job Requirements:

• Ability to navigate matrix organization structures and operate with confidence and independently to drive outcomes in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment
• Experienced in communicating regulatory requirements and implications to stakeholders and business leads, including IT partners
• Self-motivated to connect with regional stakeholders to identify balanced, compliant solutions that meet regulatory requirements while supporting business objectives

Technical Expertise & Experience

• Direct experience managing regulatory reporting for MAS 1111 or MAS 1003
• Experience of financial markets, banking products, and associated regulatory risk parameters across Asia-Pacific jurisdictions
• Strong background in regulatory frameworks, Basel implementations and regulatory change management
• 8+ years of relevant experience in regulatory and/or capital reporting roles within a bank or securities firm

• Strong analytical capabilities with ability to understand regulatory requirements and application of them
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple regulatory initiatives and cope with tight regulatory deadlines
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and coordinate across different functions, geographies, and levels of seniority

Communication & Cultural Competencies

• Cultural sensitivity and awareness essential for operating effectively across diverse Asian markets

Additional Qualifications

• Professional qualifications in relevant areas (CPA, CFA, FRM, or equivalent) highly preferred
• Experience with regulatory technology systems and policy management platforms advantageous
