Primary Purpose:

1)           Perform and ensure routine maintenance activities are carried out as scheduled.

2)           Perform OS upgrades/patching.

3)           Attend to network and system service and change request.

Field Service Engineer

Job Summary

• Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure supporting a mission-critical Command & Control (C2) system.
• Provide system maintenance and support to ensure high levels of reliability, availability, performance, and security.
• Work as part of a dedicated engineering team supporting critical operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

Warranty Administration

• Maintain accurate warranty records for installed hardware.
• Assist in warranty claim administration and coordination with vendors/subcontractors.
• Inspect repaired components and verify serviceability.
• Perform integration, configuration control, and testing of repaired hardware.

Corrective Maintenance & Field Support

• Perform corrective maintenance activities for hardware failures.
• Restore systems to operational status within SLA requirements.
• Monitor and maintain system availability and reliability metrics, including:Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)System downtime recordsHardware defect tracking
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues in production environments.

Field Testing & System Validation

• Conduct software and system testing following bug fixes, patches, and deployments.
• Validate system functionality after software upgrades and maintenance activities.
• Ensure correct system configurations are loaded before testing and production use.
• Support deployment verification and acceptance testing activities.

Spares Management

• Manage inventory of spare parts, test equipment, and maintenance tools.
• Perform receiving, issuing, storage, and disposal activities.
• Conduct serviceability checks on spare components.
• Coordinate repair and replacement of faulty spare equipment.
• Monitor end-of-life (EOL) and end-of-support (EOS) status of hardware assets.

Preventive Maintenance

• Execute preventive maintenance activities according to approved schedules and procedures.
• Perform system inspections, calibration, servicing, and configuration verification.
• Follow approved maintenance checklists and standards.
• Prepare and submit preventive maintenance reports upon completion.

Calibration Services

• Coordinate with vendors for calibration of maintenance and test equipment.
• Ensure calibration schedules are maintained and equipment remains compliant.

Responsibilities:

• Provide feedback, propose and implement improvements on the existing property management processes and procedures as necessary to ensure smooth and efficient running of the properties.
• Manage any larger scale maintenance, repair or upgrading works as necessary.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Maintenance Department and take corrective action, as required, to improve equipment inventory, quality audit, productivity, and other objectives.
• Hire, train, supervise and communicate departmental/individual job goals to all employees in the Maintenance team. To continuously monitor and appraise job performance of the team.
• Manage and supervise the maintenance team to achieve the following objectives.
• Ensure building facilities and equipment are maintained as recommended and in good condition.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations e.g. fire safety, workplace health & safety.
• Work with and develop positive relationships with external suppliers of facility services such as cleaning, security, equipment maintenance etc.
• Obtain quotes for building services/maintenance/repairs as necessary and putting up for management approval.

• To do diagnostic testing and inspection of air-conditioning system including fan coil unit, compressor, control IC board and piping works for both preventive and repair work.
• To manage the stocks for spare parts for all M&E, electrical works and to ensure that the stock level is sufficient for the normal operation of the hotels.
• To monitor the maintenance schedule of the hotel maintenance sub-contractors and to ensure that contractors carry out their work as per schedule and the standard of work is to the specification. Report to the COO if here is any variance noted.
• To suggest and undertake any improvement works to the hotel facilities, M&E services, equipment which benefit the hotels in term of cost, efficiency, safety & image.

• Good knowledge of building maintenance and property management processes for industrial or office building.
