We're hiring a Head of Engineering to own the technology end to end. You will be the senior-most technical leader for Elyx, responsible for architecture, delivery, reliability, security and healthcare-grade compliance, and the engineering team. This role builds the engineering capability that lets Elyx find what works efficiently: high-throughput prototyping, instrumented so the team learns from what clients do, not only from what they say.

You'll set technical direction, hire and grow the team, and stay hands-on in the hardest technical and architectural decisions. This is a high-ownership role for someone who has built complex, AI- and data-driven systems before and wants to do it in a domain that matters.

The work is held to two standards at once: it has to be sound, and it has to change what a client actually does. Sound means evidence-based and reasoned from mechanism—and, because no two clients are the same, tested against the individual rather than assumed from the population.

Key Responsibilities

Own the architecture, delivery, reliability, and security of Elyx. You will collaborate with the product team to understand user needs, set the engineering roadmap, and lead the team of engineers to execute the roadmap in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for building an engineering culture leveraging the changing AI landscape. The core components of the Elyx product are:

• The reasoning engine. Elyx runs continuously across everything known about a client—labs, biomarkers, wearable streams, imaging, meal photos, self-reports. The engine identifies the real patterns in one client's noisy data while excluding the false ones, and monitors and validates the evolving scientific literature for the findings relevant to that client.
• The econometric search engine. This is the module to use the client’s medical and health telemetry to search against the pool of scientific knowledge, biased by the client’s preferences, to generate a list of interventions and diagnostics that should be run to maximize the client’s health. The initial focus will be on improving existing health, but over time, this system will also be useful in helping analyze options for sickcare for our clients.
• The data model and capture underneath it. The model that turns those varied inputs into one coherent, queryable picture of the client, with a confidence level on each item. Includes capturing the reasoning specialists use when they design a client's health strategy, in structured form, so the engine can later learn from it.
• The client app. The surface the client and their concierge work in, and the team's primary means of learning what works: prototypes wired to record what clients actually do, so the team learns from behaviour rather than only from what clients report. The app's subject is communication—how it asks questions, how it shows progress, the tone it uses.
• The provider app. The tool the delivery providers and the concierge work in—personal trainers, physiotherapists, nutritionists, coaches, including freelance and overseas providers who pick up a client while they travel. It gives a provider the prepared brief on what to work on for that client and their current state, so a provider new to the client can deliver against the plan without assembling context, and captures the data from each session back into the system.
• The decision pipeline. When the system proposes a change to a client's plan, the change carries a prediction of what it should achieve. How rigorously that prediction is measured is negotiated with the client. Once shipped, the change is tracked to its outcome and the result feeds back. This discipline is designed with the specialist providers team.
• The data and access layer. Confidential health data where access is not a flat on/off list——a concierge, a specialist, and an external partner each see a different, scoped slice, bounded by client consent. Least-privilege access shaped by role and situation.
• The healthspan coach. Even though the client might know what to do to maximize their health, working through the list of diet, sleep, movement, etc. goals is not easy. We plan to anthropomorphize the AI agent into a healthspan coach to “brain hack” the client into adherence. This is a long term requirement that is part of our vision of where healthspan management will go.

Required skills and experience

• Engineering leadership. Proven track record leading engineering teams (10 to 25) as the senior-most technical owner of a complex production platform, responsible for architecture, delivery, reliability.
• Building the team. Proven track record of recruiting top-tier engineering talent for early-stage startups and building high-performance, motivated teams
• Hands-on. Actively contributes to the codebase (using AI or otherwise), including code reviews, and builds AI tooling to enhance team productivity; Owns the hardest technical problems directly. This is a building and managing role, not purely managing.

The Authorisation Security Team within the Identity and Access Management domain operates as an integrated model consisting of four independent yet interconnected capabilities that together form a closed-loop control system. Identity Lifecycle is established as an evolved capability responsible for end-to-end lifecycle of all identities across the enterprise.

Identity Lifecycle is the execution backbone of the Authorisation domain, responsible for ensuring every identity, human, non human, privileged has a deterministic, observable lifecycle. The role anchors the Bank’s event driven provisioning, access decay, and source of truth alignment, ensuring lifecycle correctness across all platforms.

The Head of Identity Lifecycle is a senior leadership role that ensures identity state is accurate, resilient and continuously synchronised with enterprise access policy. Job Purpose

Lead the Air Freight commercial and pricing function across Asia Pacific, setting strategic direction and overseeing execution to meet customer needs, strengthen market competitiveness, and optimize pricing to drive EBIT performance, in alignment with divisional strategy and Group guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the commercial/pricing strategy for the region including planning, key initiatives, systems, tools and budgets considering divisional strategy, financial and operational objectives, Group guidelines and policies
• Set direction, plan, organize and control proposal development and commercial/pricing programs for maximizing EBIT, meeting customer needs and enhancing the competitive position of the business offering of the region
• Drive development of pricing strategies for product portfolios across targeted market segments to achieve desired market positioning
• Lead annual commercial/pricing reviews to ensure processes, systems and skills adequately support business needs and divisional/global initiatives
• Drive dissemination of timely and accurate commercial, financial and technical information to ensure consistency in tactics and proposals
• Lead implementation of commercial/pricing scorecard to measure, track and report compliance performance and benefits from various price change levers
• Define and ensure post proposal review process to enhance standards, identify good practices and continuously improve
• Deliver innovation that directly influence the way the division is operating and making money
• Develop short to mid-term commercial/pricing strategy for a broad portfolio or specific products or services
• Identify the target market position by geography, segment, customer group, etc. with market research
• Extensive contact and negotiating with other departments and 3rd parties with conflicting objectives
• Influence and challenge key stakeholders effectively
• Develop strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with senior DPDHL business leaders
• Influence others across DPDHL and externally as an internally and externally recognized thought leader representing the Group

Management Responsibility

• Manage a department or a small unit that includes multiple teams led by Managers and/or Team Leaders
• Develop a high-performance service culture within the functional department. Plan, organize and direct an efficient and effective functional department
• Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance
• Conduct performance appraisals
• Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets
• Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department

Qualifications& Experience

• Degree / MBA / Advanced Degree preferred
• More than 5 years related experience and knowledge of the Air Freight forwarding business and carrier/supplier landscape
• Proven track record in people management role (leadership, motivation and people skills)
• Demonstrates strong communication capabilities
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Strong problem-solving mentality
• Strong ability to understand, calculate and persuasively present pricing techniques and analytics
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Food & Beverage Service

- Develops plans and prioritises, organises, and manages resources to accomplish business goals within a specific period.

- Maintains the bar training manual and conduct departmental service training in coordination with the Learning and Development Manager.

- Supports review simulation processes and update evaluation criteria for a smooth operation. Interacts with guests and colleagues in a friendly and courteous manner.

- Has extensive knowledge of our food & beverage menus. Takes orders and can confidently offer different menu options and advice.

- Remembers a guest’s preferences to extend a personalised service.

- Takes guest’s food & beverage orders accurately and assures correct input into the Point-of-Sale system.

- Ability to anticipate a guest’s needs. Verifies guest satisfaction with each table during service. Serves food and drinks in a timely and efficient manner.

- Makes sure that all products served are accounted for on the final bill before presenting it.

- Clears tables throughout the guest’s experience in accordance with the hotels standard operating procedure.

- Delivers all checks and reports to the appropriate place according to established standards. Adjusts service to suit guests’ requests and personalises any interaction with them.

Overseeing Daily Operations and Achieving Targets

- Maintains the quality and consistency of the beverage program and service within the outlet.

- Able to monitor an operating par stock of OS&E and beverage.

- Adheres to outlets recipes in Material Control.

- Ensures that a maintenance equipment checklist is conducted on weekly basis.

- Liaising with the Engineering and Housekeeping team as necessary. Ensures the outlet and related areas are kept to HACCP and hygiene standards.

- Always ensures cleanliness and appearance of the outlet and related areas.

Provide a Leading and Consistent Guest Experience

- Promotes sales through direct guest contact.

- Constantly obtains guest feedback during operation to ensure satisfaction.

- Assists in building a loyal following and return guest database.

- Handles guest complaints and comments competently and swiftly.

- Maintains levels of confidentiality and guest, colleague, and operator discretion at all times.

Management and Leadership of Outlet

- Displays cultural affinity and shows empathy to all team members. Observes a colleague’s individual performance, grooming and punctuality.

- Assists in recruitment and to induct and train new colleagues.

- Supports project management, including research of equipment, materials, supplies and methods. Sourcing and negotiating with qualified suppliers or contractors, reviewing contracts, and quality control during all stages of the project.

- Checks daily opening and closing duties.

Marketing Plan and Revenue Management

- Able to confidently answer all questions and feedback regarding hotels and respective Food and Beverage outlet.

- Makes recommendations to the Management regarding other potential sources of revenue.

- Implements appropriate and effective measures to improve cost control of expenses and labour.

- Ensures all reports generated are accurate before submission.

Training, Learning and Development of the Team

- Responsible to arrange training for all colleagues in line with established training requirements.

- Conducts regular on the job trainings for colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge. Ensures that colleagues are trained on fire and safety, emergency procedures and hygiene.

- Assists and guides the departmental orientation of new colleagues.

- Adheres to fire and safety, emergency procedures.

- Follows NEA hygiene rules and regulations are met and achieve.
