Job Description:

Create 3D solid model of components and/or assembly based on sketches or physical parts;

Provide mechanical engineering drafting support to project teams;

Modify and update mechanical engineering drawings.

Job Requirements:

Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering Drawing & Design or its equivalent;

Min 2 years' experiences in related field;

Proficient in modeling and creating fabrication drawings;

Proficient in drafting standards, ISO, ANSI Y 14.5;

Knowledge in Solid Edge modeling & drafting software will be an added advantage;

Knowledge in MS office application;

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least ITE / Diploma in C&S Engineering.
• Applicants must have a minimum 2 years of working experience in a Singapore Consultancy firm for the Junior position, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for Senior position.
• Committed and able to work as a team.
• Candidates shall have relevant experience in Singapore consultant firm, preparing and drafting structural plan using AutoCAD and Revit.

Job Description

1. Good understanding in drawings and able to conceptualise what details are necessary for a complete set of drawings.
2. Reasonably knowledgeable and experienced in BIM tools including but not limited to Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
3. To produce multi-disciplinary BIM models in a timely manner and with quality.
4. Reasonably capable in doing multi-disciplinary modelling; expected to be at least well-versed in doing structure modelling.
5. To highlight model / drawing discrepancies, missing information or potential issues to Project Manager.
6. Able to propose solutions to the discrepancies.
7. Assist in preparation of BIM documentation such as RFI, sheets, schedules, 3D presentation, report, drawing list, tracking list, chronological order of events and time sheet.
8. Assist in the initial setup of BIM projects, including but not limited to project template, Revit family library, title block, CDE and workflows.
9. Assist in development of BIM standards, protocol and library.
10. To support collaborations with project architects, engineers, clients, consultants and contractors in terms of BIM implementation.

• Prepare and revise technical drawings using AutoCAD and/or other drafting software.

• Produce 2D drawings, layout plans, general arrangement drawings, detailed drawings, fabrication drawings, installation drawings, and as-built drawings.

• Support railway-related projects involving mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, or building services drawings, depending on project scope.

• Prepare drawings for equipment layout, trackside installation, cable routing, support structures, panels, brackets, enclosures, and other railway system components.

• Assist engineers in converting design sketches, mark-ups, specifications, and site information into proper technical drawings.

• Update drawings based on comments from engineers, consultants, contractors, clients, or site teams.

• Ensure all drawings are accurate, properly labelled, numbered, revised, and maintained in accordance with project document control procedures.

• Coordinate with project, production, site, and quality teams to clarify drawing details and technical requirements.

• Support preparation of material take-off, drawing registers, submission documents, and technical documentation where required.

• Assist in checking drawings for dimensional accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

• Maintain proper softcopy and hardcopy filing of drawings and related documents.

• Support project handover documentation, including compilation of as-built drawings and final drawing records.

• Perform other drafting or project support duties as assigned.

Work closely with the project team on site on the production of drawings. Produce all required drawings and details for submission and approval.

Ensure construction documents, parameters information accuracy for BIM Model, including compliance of drawings with regulatory specifications.

Adhere to BIM Execution Plan BIM Project workflow criteria. Prepare shop drawings for approval. Prepare drawings 3D Model for construction, coordination as built purposes. Monitor update model as per site condition changes.

Able to adapt with BIM Modelling tools required in projects. In-charge of Clash Detection for AS reports. Perform drafting design calculations. Maintain update drawings as needed make corrections drawings as directed by supervisors.

Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Management.

We are looking for draftsman experienced with drawings design of residential and commercial buildings. He/ She must have work experience in an Engineering Consultancy firm. Please indicate projects list in your CV.

• At least ITC or Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering discipline
• Minimum 8 years’ local experience in preparation of structural drawing
• Familiar with BIM software i.e. REVIT
• Prepare drawings and ensure compliance with office drafting standards
• Flexibility in handling multiple projects
• Must be able to work under tight deadline and in a fast pace environment
• Work closely with Project Engineers or Team leader
• Able to work independently
