Job Summary

Manage accounting operations and ensure timely delivery of client accounts while maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating cross-departmental efforts to meet regulatory deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting processes to deliver accurate client accounts on schedule
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing responsive and professional service
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure monthly accounts and clients’ annual regulatory compliance with ACRA and IRAS deadlines
• Operate Corppass and IRAS tax portal systems proficiently to support tax and regulatory submissions
• Travel to client offices to perform monthly accounting tasks and ensure service quality

Required competencies and certifications

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and IRAS Tax Portal System
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in an accounting or commercial firm
• Tertiary education in accountancy
• Good command of spoken and written English

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Willingness to learn and adopt AI accounting tools

About the role:

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting GMA and its subsidiaries’ finance and accounting functions by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements. This role plays a key part in daily accounting operations, month-end closing, and financial reporting to support effective business decision-making.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

A.     Accounting Record Management

• Maintain accurate and up to date accounting records, including ledges, journals and invoices.
• Ensure timely recording of transactions and adherence to accounting principles.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivables to ensure payments are collected and made promptly.
• Reconcile vendor and customer statements to ensure accuracy
• Liaise with vendors and clients regarding accounting matters, including invoices, payments.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and address inquiries in timely and professional manner.
• Fixed Assets Accounting: Manages the company's fixed assets, ensuring they are accurately recorded, depreciated, and tracked

B.     Accounting Reporting

• Prepare full set of financial statements for GMA and its subsidiaries including P&L, BS, cashflows and management account.
• Assist in preparing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and reports for management and auditors.

C.     Tax Compliance

• Prepare and file tax returns in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on changes of tax laws and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

D.    Treasury Operations & Controls

• Monitor daily cash balances and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
• Assis in the preparation of cash flow forecasts and variance analysis.
• Execute and control payment processes, ensuring proper authorization and compliance.
• Support optimization of working capital through effective cash utilization.
• Assist in negotiations for banking services and transaction costs.
• Maintain accurate records of treasury transactions including loans, deposits, FX deals, and intercompany funding
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies in a timelymanner.
• Ensure adherence to internal treasury policies, procedures, and approval limits.
• Implement controls to safeguard company assets and reduce operational risks.

E.      Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and controls.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguards assets and prevent fraud.
• Participate in internal audit and risk management to identify areas of non-compliance or weakness.
• Liaise with banks regarding account management, facilities, and transaction issues
• Support business units in terms of treasury-related queries and compliance requirements.

Key Requirements

• Degree in accounting and/or professional accounting qualifications.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of cash management, banking products and treasury operations.
• Good understanding of risk management , internal controls and compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail, integrity and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in accounting software like Oracle, SAP, Xero and MS office especially in Excel.

Job Summary

You will manage accounts payable and receivable processes, maintain accurate financial records, and support administrative tasks to ensure smooth financial operations within the company.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately to maintain up-to-date financial records and handle full sets of accounts

• Enter daily financial data into the accounting system to support timely and accurate bookkeeping
• Prepare and organize payment and receipt records to ensure proper documentation and audit readiness
• Post accounting entries for accounts payable and receivable to maintain balanced ledgers
• Reconcile financial statements to identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts
• Issue financial and administrative documents as required to support business operations
• Maintain organized and accessible records of financial and administrative documents for compliance and reference
• Coordinate specific administrative tasks to support the finance team’s daily operations efficiently
• Perform other related administrative duties as assigned to contribute to overall team effectiveness
• Work a 5.5-day work week to meet operational needs

• Prepare/Review full sets of accounts for clients and prepare monthly/quarterly management reporting.
• Prepare/Review GST reports and filing for clients.
• Prepare/Review unaudited financial statements.
• Prepare/Review XBRL reports.
• Prepare/Review corporate income tax computation and Form C-s filing.
• Experience in consolidation financial statements will be a plus.
• Perform other related accounting duties assigned by directors.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing a full set of accounts, with strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in ABSS/Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• At least 2-year of experience in accounting firms, senior review work experience would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Candidates with good experience will be considered for a higher position. Compensation will be rewarded accordingly.

Salary range $4000-$4800
