Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and troubleshoot PowerEdge and PowerStore systems, including OMES Plug-In, SupportAssist Enterprise, and Secure Connect Gateway Remote Connectivity systems
* Manage and perform diagnostics on Dell EMC PowerEdge servers
* Utilize iDRAC to perform BIOS updates and other system maintenance tasks
* Utilize OpenServer Manager 2.0 (OSM) to update BMC firmware
* Utilize PDTK for software updates and troubleshooting
* Verify that servers were delivered and ready for deployment exactly as they were built by Dell using Secure Component verification
* Utilize OME to discover new devices
* Access and use IPMI for troubleshooting on PowerStore systems
* Add and manage PowerStore users
* Add remote source systems to PowerStore
* Administer data migration operations
* Administer NAS, file systems, shares, and exports on PowerStore
* Apply CHAP authentication on PowerStore
* Attach, edit, and remove hosts on PowerStore
* Collect logs and data from the system using PowerStore Manager and CLI
* Configure host groups, Linux hosts, VMware ESXi hosts, and Windows hosts on PowerStore
* Configure data migration sessions to import data
* Configure file storage resources on PowerStore
* Configure local data protection with snapshots and clones on PowerStore
* Configure NFS file sharing and SMB file sharing on PowerStore
* Configure protection policies and snapshots on PowerStore
* Configure support for Virtual Volumes (VVols) on PowerStore
* Create data protection rules and policies on PowerStore
* Create NAS servers and remote system connections on PowerStore
* Create VVol datastores with Virtual Machines on PowerStore
* Create and manage volumes and volume groups on PowerStore
* Create and verify replication sessions on PowerStore
* Create ESXi host configurations on PowerStore
* Define hardware scaling options on PowerStore
* Describe and configure PowerStore integration with VMware
* Describe data reporting and analytics requirements using CloudIQ
* Describe NAS high-availability features on PowerStore
* Describe PowerStore data encryption features
* Describe PowerStore features and key use cases
* Describe PowerStore licensing
* Describe PowerStore Manager features and layout
* Describe PowerStore product configurations and models
* Describe the PowerStore base enclosure

* Describe, create, and remove protection policies on PowerStore
* Determine the status of components and drives on PowerStore
* Identify the key features of the REST API on PowerStore
* Identify networking switch options on PowerStore
* Identify the process to collect support materials on a PowerStore storage system
* Install and run PSTCLI on Linux and Windows systems
* Install the host-based migration agent on PowerStore
* List alerts and events on PowerStore
* List hardware and network components on PowerStore
* List the supported source systems on PowerStore
* Locate data efficiency features on PowerStore
* Locate LEDs on disk drives and key base components on PowerStore
* Locate PowerStore reference guides and information
* Manage remote data protection with replication on PowerStore
* Map and un-map volumes to hosts on PowerStore
* Monitor volume performance and balance storage resources on PowerStore
* Perform post-migration administration tasks on PowerStore
* Provision file systems for NFS and SMB file sharing on PowerStore
* Provision volumes for block storage on PowerStore
* Use LEDs to troubleshoot and identify hardware on PowerStore
* Use Service Container CLI commands to collect PowerStore configuration and status information on PowerStore
* Verify host MPIO requirements on PowerStore
* Verify iSCSI availability on source storage systems and PowerStore
Requirements
* 2+ years of experience in maintaining and troubleshooting PowerEdge and PowerStore systems
* Strong knowledge of Dell PowerEdge and PowerStore systems, including OMES Plug-In, SupportAssist Enterprise, and Secure Connect Gateway Remote Connectivity systems
* Experience with iDRAC, OpenServer Manager 2.0 (OSM), and PDTK for software updates and troubleshooting
* Strong understanding of CloudIQ capabilities for PowerEdge servers
* Experience with PowerStore systems, including NAS, file systems, shares, and exports
* Strong knowledge of PowerStore features and key use cases
* Experience with PowerStore Manager and PSTCLI
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
