We are a project team comprising researchers from SingHealth, A*STAR, and Synapxe, developing a product to enhance the management and treatment of patients with lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs)—a condition that accounts for nearly 489 million cases globally and is a major contributor to inappropriate antibiotic use in Singapore. 

Over 40% of prescriptions for LRTIs are unnecessary, contributing to antimicrobial resistance (AMR)—a top global health threat. Traditional stewardship programs are expert-dependent and resource-intensive, limiting scalability.

To overcome these challenges, we are building an AI-powered Large Language Model platform that uses routinely collected clinical data to help clinicians identify cases that do not require antibiotics, thereby reducing unnecessary prescriptions.

Role:

As a Research Officer, you will play a central role by integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) for intelligent processing of unstructured clinical text—such as physician notes, discharge summaries, and radiology reports. Your work will help build explainable, scalable, and real-time AI recommendations that assist clinicians at the point of care for lower respiratory tract infections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the LLM development, focusing on enhancing unstructured data processing for clinical and biomedical applications.
• Fine-tune and train LLMs (e.g., LLaMA, Mistral, Phi, and the GPT family) using supervised and instruction-based datasets.
• Design and implement pipelines for data cleaning, preprocessing, and tokenisation of large-scale text corpora.
• Integrate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and knowledge graph components for domain adaptation.

About the client: Our client is a Bank

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Project scope, timeline, and commissioning/cutover outcomes.
• Manage cabling, LAN, Wi Fi AV/VC rooms, endpoints, identity/security readiness process.
• Handle contractor management, FM/building management, RACI, SLAs, and escalation.
• Responsible for Budgeting, Procurement, value engineering, change control, variance tracking.
• Handle the governance process such security approvals, change tickets, document packs etc.

Requirement:

• Bachelor Degree in IT / Compute Science or relevant educational qualification.
• 2–3 completed office fit outs (≥10,000 sq ft preferred): scope, budget, timeline, and commissioning/cutover outcomes.
• Hands on coordination of cabling, LAN, Wi Fi (incl. heat maps), AV/VC rooms, endpoints, identity/security readiness.
• Vendor/contractor management (cabling/AV/network integrators, corporate real estate, FM/building management, landlord) with RACI, SLAs, and escalation examples.
• Budget & procurement: Quotations comparisons, value engineering, change control, variance tracking.
• Governance: EA/security approvals, change tickets, document packs (designs, T&C scripts, as builts, handover/SOPs).
• User change enablement: comms/training plans, hypercare metrics.
• Attitude/service orientation: executive and end user references, examples of de escalation and sponsor management.

• Gather, collate, and analyze user requirements from business and risk users and provide clear business specifications for system implementations.
• Analyse and perform impact analysis of requests and review system and functional designs are sound and adequate to address Market & Counterparty Risk Business needs.

Requirements

• Degree in Banking, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related quantitative discipline with about 3 or more years’ relevant experience in business analysis area
• Prior business analysis experience of working between technology and business users to specify business requirements for development of systems solutions.
• Understanding and experience in market risk or counterparty risk
• Good to have prior experience in implementing market or counterparty system or innovative digital solutions within Risk Management Group
• Proficient in SQL and Excel
