The Scope:

1. TV Studios Support

• Support the design, installation, and maintenance of broadcast enterprise systems for studio production and the Parliament House broadcast system.

Job Summary

The purposeof the ROV Pilot Technician is the typical role to be part of the team toensure safe and efficient ROV operations together with the ROV team. , howeverother type of ROV operations may be part of the position role. Responsibilities

General:

ROV Pilot Technician in support of operation,repair, and maintenance of the ROV spread – typically consisting of a ROVHandling system (LARS), a Subsea TMS/ ROV and control system/PDU on surface.
ROV Pilot Technician  perform their duties in accordance withrequirements and are fully aware at all times of the work to be performed, theorder of the work to be performed and their individual responsibilities.

Role Specific:

• Attend applicable Risk Assessments / Safe JobAnalysis. Ensure to communicate findings with all team members.
• Ensure thatnecessary Toolbox Talks – either with active participation and or by members ofthe team – are held for any operational, repair or maintenance work. Inform theROV Supervisor accordingly.
• Be familiar and tick-off relevant steps in thecurrent operational task plan ensuring the ROV operations are performed asdirected by the ROV Supervisor.
• Ensureequipment and ROV spreads are in complete working order and in compliance withall technical requirements and are operated and maintained in accordance withUser Manuals and Company procedures.
• Perform equipment setup and tests according toproject requirements during mobilisations.
• Inform the ROV Supervisor of the generalstatus, technical deviations and problems associated with the ROV equipment or operation.
• Ensure equipment reporting is performed accurately, expediently and efficiently in accordance with Company procedures –making aware that suspension of operations may be required.
• Take initiative and be upfront on the development of matters covering aspects of technical and operational improvements and innovation within the laying industry and on operational facets concerning HSEQS activities in relation to the business of the Company.

HSEQ

• All Deepocean employees whether permanent or temporary personnel, regardless of location are responsible for the Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and Security compliance relating to the work that is performed by the company.
• In all phases of operations, due consideration shall be given to the safety and occupational health of personnel, the environment and company assets, and line managers are to ensure that all work is performed in conformance with HSEQS requirements set out by company and client and applicable statutory regulations.

• Part of the upcoming operational activities with the ROV spreads and advice as required.

• Timely maintain the ROV spread to the highest standards.
• Reviewing the way equipment is being operated and reporting any activities which may subject the equipment to damage or create unsafe conditions.
• Employ logical fault-finding techniques during breakdown situations.
• Assisting in commissioning, testing and monitoring of appropriate equipment as required.
• Adhere to the standardised shift hours for the position on board.

Technical and operational documentation:

• Take notes as required throughout the 12-hourshift and perform a sufficient shift handover.
• Carry out Toolbox Talks at the beginning ofeach shift as required by the project.
• Ensure that specific rules and regulationsapplying to lay systems and operations are adhered to.
• Be informed on any contractual requirementsapplicable to the lay system for the project.
• Prepare, organise and complete plannedmaintenance in accordance with relevant checklists.
• Keep records of defects to assist in planningof re-fits and maintenance periods. Ensure the planned maintenance system iscorrectly utilized and always fully up to date.
• Follow OEM maintenance and operationprocedures.
• Prepare technical reports if required.
•   Give comments on reports when requested.

Logistics:

• Endorse and adhere to pre-work and projectequipment checklists as required.
• Ensure that adequate stocks of spares aremaintained and or on order.

Human relation:

• Maintain high ethical standards within the teamand with regards to communication.
• Ensure that new personnel and or traineesreceive familiarisation on all ROV spreads, and are given adequate guidance andtraining, according to a planned development program.

HSEQS:

• Be familiar with and keep order in systemdocumentation.
• Become acquaint on Company generic operationaland administrative procedures.
• Adhere to and endorse Company rules andstandards and use these in the everyday work.
• Promote awareness and understanding of HSEthroughout the operation.

• To participate in the testing, commissioning of mechanical, process, or electrical, instrument, control and automation equipment/systems.

• To attend factory acceptance tests (FATs) at local and overseas factories to witness and verify quality and performance of major equipment/systems.

· You may be part of the technical team in the operation and maintenance of TSIP. Your work scope includes:

• To lead a team of technical supervisors and specialists and coordinate maintenance work between contractors and maintenance sections to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient operations of the waste-to-energy facility.

• To implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for the facility's electrical and control equipment such as turbo-generators, motors, switchgears, low tension and high tension equipment, distributed control system and field instruments.

• To administer contracts for the operation and maintenance of mechanical, EICA or building services equipment

• To enforce permit-to-work system and safe work culture including supervising contractors’ work for quality and safety

• To formulate and prepare standard operating and safety procedures, equipment testing / changeover programmes

• To perform shift work in a waste-to-energy facility, if needed

• To work closely with the management of TSIP to implement initiatives on safety and continuous improvement to enhance the safety culture and standards within the plant, as well as drive projects to achieve operational excellence.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Structural Engineering, Chemical, Environmental Engineering)

• Preferably with 3-5 years of relevant experience. No experience required, welcome to apply*

• Candidates with professional certification, e.g. Professional Engineer, Steam Engineer, Licensed Electrical Worker, Workplace Safety and Health Officer, will be given preference

• Possess good technical background and strong analytical skills. Knowledge in solid waste management would be an advantage
