We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our Physical Science Service Team and drive world-class technical support for our customers across laboratories, research institutions, universities, pharmaceutical companies, semiconductor manufacturers, and industrial facilities.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional service delivery while leading a team of highly skilled engineers and specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Service Engineers and Technical Specialists.
• Manage day-to-day service operations, including installations, preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer issues while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Drive service excellence through continuous process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Monitor service KPIs, resource planning, and team performance.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Application, and Product teams to support business growth and customer retention.
• Manage service contracts, maintenance agreements, and customer escalations.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Develop strategies to expand service revenue and enhance customer experience.

What We're Looking For

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Instrumentation, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in managing technical service teams within scientific instruments, laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, semiconductor equipment, or related industries.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer relationship management abilities.
• Experience with service operations, field service management, and technical support functions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while driving team performance and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• To be familiar with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts’ policies and procedures and be well-versed with the facilities and services offered by the hotel. To “master” the product in terms of rates, layout and physical attributes, breakdown / configuration, benefits and amenities etc. 
• Managing all reservations handling and process; proficient in operating the various reservations systems and equipment. To provide prompt, courteous and efficient service at all times. To answer the phone within three rings. 
• To upsell whenever possible to maximize occupancy and revenues ensure that all reservations are entered accurately and “mesh” update maintained consistently and to be aware of book-out status and need periods to maximize sales opportunities.
• To alert the Reservations Manager of sudden changes in occupancy levels and advise the Reservations Manager of any deviations in rate applications or reservations arrangements.   
• Handle incoming reservations requests / correspondence, confirming or regretting on the day received and manage the hotel’s credit policies to effectively handle and process billing requirements. 
• Carries out other special projects/tasks assigned by supervisors  

Job Requirements

• Minimum O Levels with at least 2 year of relevant working experience  
• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to handle enquiries professionally and courteously.
• Good phone etiquette and confident in managing high call volumes and emails 
• Proficent in MS Words, Excel and PowerPoint

Job Title Kitchen & Service Assistant (Roasted Chicken and Noodle Stall)

Job Summary

Join a friendly noodle stall team to prepare and serve authentic roasted chicken and noodles, ensuring quality food and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Roast and chop chicken and prepare broths and sauces following established recipes to ensure consistent taste
• Prepare ingredients accurately to support efficient cooking operations
• Cook noodles according to recipes to maintain quality and consistency
• Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately to deliver excellent service
• Process payments and manage order queues efficiently to maintain smooth customer flow
• Clean and sanitize the stall and kitchen tools regularly to uphold food safety standards
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and restock supplies promptly to avoid shortages
• Cover duties at other stalls in the western area as required
• Stand for long periods and work in a warm kitchen environment during 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess a valid Singapore Food Agency (SFA) Food Safety Course Level 1 Certificate

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience working in a coffee shop, hawker stall, or food court setting
• Ability to start work immediately
