General Overview

The Lead Regas and Commissioning Engineer is a key member of the S2T FSRU Project execution team, responsible for leading and assuring the commissioning, start-up, and initial operation of the FSRU regasification systems and associated interfaces with onshore facilities.

The role is focused on hands-on execution leadership throughout the EPC and commissioning phase of the project, ensuring that all regasification and associated interface systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with the Charterer’s Technical Specifications, regulatory requirements, and operational readiness objectives.

The position holder shall preferably have experience as the 1st Officer for Regas Operations on an FSRU. The candidate shall have FSRU regas commissioning experience, working closely with the Shipyard, Ship Owner and Managers, EPC contractors, and SLNG site team to achieve safe mechanical completion, commissioning, gas-in, and performance testing, leading to a smooth handover to operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:

Regas Interface & Integration Management

• Ensure effective integration between FSRU and onshore connecting infrastructure (OCI) across all systems for the whole duration of execution phase of the project.
• Coordinate commissioning interfaces across process, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, marine, and control systems.
• Support resolution of interface issues affecting safety, schedule, or operability. 

Commissioning, Start-up and Performance Testing Delivery

• Work closely with Ship Owner to ensure FSRU commissioning, commissioning tests and performance tests are well integrated to the integrated commissioning program. 

Technical Assurance & Safety

• Ensure commissioning activities comply with process safety, permit-to-work, SIMOPS, and marine safety requirements.
• Participate actively in 3rd parties workshop reviews, commissioning risk assessments, and pre-start-up safety reviews (PSSR).
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical leadership during commissioning upsets or abnormal conditions.
• Review, comment and  endorse commissioning procedures, test packs, and start-up sequences related to regas systems.

FSRU Documentations & Handover

• 10+ years of working experience in SI/PI
• Deep understanding of electromagnetic theory, transmission line theory and microwave theory
• Familiar with SI/PI design flow, time domain and frequency domain modeling and simulation
• Good comprehension of PLL, equalization, CDR, jitter, noise, IBIS modeling, 8b10b encoding

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Customer Service Representative to timely resolve client's security system issues.
• Deliver comprehensive support and maintenance services, encompassing routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, system upgrades, expansions, alterations, and systems training.
• Create detailed system diagrams using AutoCAD software.
• Build strong partnerships with clients while continuously striving to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain the support & maintenance contract renewal.
• Ensure the excellence of services by strictly adhering to company standards and policies, service requests within the designated region.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

1)     Administrative Functions

·       Support the Service Manager in preparation of weekly and monthly service reports.

·       Process meter billing and ensure accurate updates in the CRM system.

·       Maintain proper documentation and service records for audit and tracking purposes.

2)     Technical Functions

·       Assist in the installation, setup, and configuration of copiers/ multifunction printers(MFPs) and smart office solutions.

·       Attend to on-site service calls and urgent breakdowns, ensuring timely resolution.

·       Support engineers in troubleshooting hardware issues (machines, networking, peripherals) and software-related problems (drivers, system integration, workflow solutions).

·       Assist in deploying and troubleshooting smart enterprise solutions such as document management systems, print management software, and workflow automation tools.

REQUIREMENTS

·       Diploma in Engineering, IT, Electronics, or related discipline.

·       Experience in copier/ MFP servicing, print solutions, or office automation systems.

·       Sound knowledge of network setup (IP configuration, drivers installation).

·       Proficient in MSOffice (Excel, Power point), MCSE, HTML

·       Good communication and interpersonal skills.
