• Supports the crewing department in all aspects of employment administration for seagoing personnel, include checking of monthly crew payroll.

• Maintain an updated list of manning for each assigned vessel and to monitor and follow up closely on rotation plan

• Coordinate and liaise closely with manning agencies, Master, port agencies and travel agencies for the smooth transition of crew for vessels sailing at foreign waters.

• Liaise and coordinate with travel agencies on crew flight bookings.

• Apply for Flag state endorsement for the officers before they join the assigned vessels

• Conduct briefing and/or debriefing of officers as and when required

• Keep track, check and verify all port disbursements incurred by local port agents and manning agencies in relation to crew change

• Check, verify and reconcile the monthly accounts prepared by Masters

• Arrange and coordinate timely CTM as and when required.

• Assist to verify crew benefits, leave pay, bonus and allowance

• Keep track, monitor and update crew’s personnel and training records, ensure all crew has all the essential training certificates, medical reports, visas, sea time records to meet matrix requirement

• Any other duties as and when assigned.

• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma holder, with relevant experience in shipping industry

• Proficient in MS Office

• Experience in using DNV GL Ship Manager system an added advantage

Job Description:

(a) To assist the occupier of the workplace or other person in charge of the workplace to identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes therein;

(b) To recommend to the occupier of the workplace or other in charge of the workplace reasonably practicable measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at work in that workplace or may be affected by the occupier’s undertaking in the workplace;

(c) To recommend to the occupier of the workplace or other person in charge of the workplace where it is not reasonably practicable measures, to minimize the risk, and safe work procedures to control the risk;

(d) To assist the occupier of the workplace or other person in charge of the workplace implements the measure or safe work procedures;

(e) To investigate any incidents/accidents and advise on the remedial measures to be taken to prevent any recurrence;

Requirements:

· Specialist Diploma in WSH and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Workplace safety and health

· MOM registered WSH Officer

· At least 3 years of work experience relevant to the work to be carried out by a WSHO

Responsibilities:

• Discharge duties as relevant in the WSH Act, WSH (Workplace Safety and Health (Officers) Regulations and Environmental Public Health Act

• Implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with local and international regulations.

• Establish, conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and management.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health, or a related field.

• At least 6 years of relevant work experience in a safety management role.

• Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower

• Registered Environmental Control Officer with National Environment Agency

• Knowledge of WSH Act and other related regulations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
