Our client, a well-established bank(QFB) with a strong regional and international presence, is seeking a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager to join their corporate banking team. This role focuses on managing and deepening client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and ensuring credit activities align with internal risk frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand a portfolio of corporate clients by identifying new business and cross-selling opportunities to drive revenue growth
• Prepare clear and concise credit proposals and renewal documents that assess key risks and propose effective mitigants to support informed credit decisions
• Conduct thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) and periodic reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
• Monitor client credit exposure and proactively manage accounts exhibiting early warning signs to mitigate potential risks
• Collaborate with internal departments and overseas branches to facilitate cross-border business activities and enhance client service delivery
• Lead regular client meetings and maintain detailed, up-to-date call reports to track relationship progress and opportunities
• Execute general department functions and ad hoc assignments as directed by management to support team objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate banking relationship management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated by effective collaboration across departments and with clients
• Proficiency in Mandarin to support communication needs related to business activities requiring this language
• Self-driven and results-oriented with proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Role: Corporate Banking Relationship Manager

The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and strengthening client relationships for the Singapore Branch.

This role focuses on generating loan business from existing and prospective clients, ensuring portfolio credit quality, achieving revenue targets, and
cross-selling the Bank’s products and services.

Job Description

Business Development:

• Originate and develop new business opportunities, including participation in syndications, club loans, secondary loan purchases, and bilateral credit facilities, sponsors (banks or private equity), and other counterparties.

Client Relationship Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing their banking requirements across loans, trade finance, and foreign exchange.
• Likewise responsible for overall maintenance of the relationship including Credit Annual renewals, KYC updating, and the like.

Credit and Documentation:

• Handle pre-approval and pre-clearance credit work, prepare credit proposals, and oversee post-approval documentation.

Transaction Coordination:

• Coordinate loan availment, repricing, payments, and other transactions with counterparties, clients and Head Office Account Officers.

Compliance and Administration:

• Monitor client compliance with documentary requirements, maintain proper safekeeping of documents, prepare management reports, and ensure branch operational upkeep.

Loan Management:

• Liaise with Head Office Account Officer, Legal teams to ensure enforceability of credit facility documentation.

Other Duties:

• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support business objectives and branch operations.

Educational/Skills Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in corporate banking - loans, including credit evaluation and recommendation in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills both internal and external counterparties.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in business applications and ability to work independently.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Experience in T24 core banking project management and system implementation

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in IT support or management, resolving issues in software, hardware, networking, and cloud environments.
• Proficient in OS (Windows, Linux, macOS), Networking (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs), Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Helpdesk (Zendesk, Freshdesk), CRM (Salesforce), and Monitoring Tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, Datadog).
