Job Scope

• Ensure customer bookings are promptly documented, processed and reviewed for accuracy and completeness
• Input export job reference
• Any special shipment requirements shall be resolved with the shipper prior accepting the booking;
• Keep Sales Personnel informed about their bookings
• Upon receipt of booking from shipper, Customer Service will book shipment direct with shipping lines or our consol for both FCL and LCL cargo
• After confirmation of space with shipping lines or consol, Customer Service will advise shipper via email or fax
• Customer Service will proceed to arrange the trucking and collection of cargo if customer require this service
• Any changes in vessel details or delay in arrival date will be made known to shipper via phone or email by Customer Service
• Ensure all cargoes send in good condition and if any damage shall revert to customer immediately

Requirement

• GCE O Level / Diploma or Degree in Logistics Management or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experiences

Join the BBC World Service’s Asia Specific podcast in our Singapore newsroom, bringing Asian perspectives to global issues and unpacking original reporting on the most compelling stories across Asia-Pacific. As a Journalist, you’ll produce a digital-first programme designed for YouTube and audio platforms- connecting with new audiences across the region. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

• Video and audio editing to deliver visual programs, shorts and audio episodes. 
• Upload podcasts and social media content, use subtitling software. 
• Write titles and descriptions for YouTube and audio platforms using strong editorial judgement
• Deliver programs to tight deadlines and work collaboratively within a small team and broader network. 
• Contribute podcast episode ideas, research, fact checking and organizing guests. 
• Prepare editorial research briefs for programs, formulate discussion points.
• To liaise closely with other team members and with other departments in the BBC, to ensure that output material is shared, duplication is avoided, and best practice is upheld.
• To tailor different news treatments for different audiences ensuring that the output reflects the audiences we serve.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• Video editing experience essential, particularly desirable for Final Cut Pro or similar software.
• Experience as a journalist or producer, with a good knowledge of production techniques and who demonstrates sound editorial and policy decisions 
• Extensive knowledge of Asia-Pacific having worked or lived in the region. 
• A self-starter who enjoys working independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues in the newsroom
• Flexibility and willingness to work unpredictable hours if needed
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills, especially working in a multi-cultural environment.  
• Effective planning and organizing skills, ability to concentrate on several areas of work at one time, delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities.
• Ability to write creatively in an engaging manner, adapt, produce and translate with accuracy, clarity and style appropriate to differing audiences and forms of media suitable for multimedia output.

DESIRABLE:

• Digital media experience; using digital media tools and production skills to source and create content that resonate with audiences
• Experience working with or alongside social teams.

Service matters:
