Role Summary 

The Manufacturing Technician supports day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure safe, stable, and efficient production execution in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on executing production plans, monitoring process performance, supporting equipment and material readiness, and escalating issues that impact safety, quality, delivery and cost. 

Working closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, and cross-functional partners, the Manufacturing Technician plays a critical role in achieving production targets, maintaining operational discipline, and driving continuous improvement at the shop-floor level. 

Key Responsibilities 

1) Safety & Quality Compliance 

• Adhere strictly to safety policies, quality systems, and cleanroom protocols. 

• Perform work area inspections and follow safe work practices to maintain a safe working environment. 

• Ensure products are handled, processed, and documented in compliance with quality and 6S requirements. 

• Support containment actions and follow-up activities when deviations are identified. 

2) Production Execution & Operations Support 

• Execute daily production activities according to established production plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. 

• Monitor production flow, cycle time, and work-in-progress (WIP) to support on-time delivery (OTD) and output targets. 

• Perform routine checks to ensure materials, tools, and equipment are ready for production use. 

• Identify and escalate production issues (e.g., delays, abnormal trends, bottlenecks) to engineers or shift leads in a timely manner. 

• Operate multiple machines in a highly automated cleanroom environment to meet shift targets. 

3) Equipment & Process Monitoring 

• Support basic equipment operations, changeovers, and checks in accordance with defined procedures. 

• Monitor process parameters and equipment status to ensure stable manufacturing conditions. 

• Assist in troubleshooting minor process or equipment issues and support engineers during deeper investigations. 

• Record and report abnormalities, deviations, and observations accurately to ensure traceability. 

4) Continuous Improvement & Team Support 

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, cycle time, quality, and operational efficiency. 

• Provide feedback and ideas to improve processes, workflows, and SOP. 

• Support data collection and basic analysis activities to assist engineers in performance tracking and improvement projects. 

• Foster a collaborative and disciplined team environment across shifts. 

Requirements: 

• Higher Nitec / Diploma in Engineering or Applied Sciences (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Materials, or related disciplines). 

• Able to work 12-hour shifts, including night shifts. 

• Basic familiarity and understanding of manufacturing processes and high volume manufacturing or production environments.

  Performs current Production Operator responsibilities and duties within a Fab organization as well as outlined technical tasks. Technical tasks will vary from area to area and may include monitoring and responding to SPC charts, responding to failed tool quals, processing engineering targets, SWRs and other tests, monitoring and collecting data, dispositioning lots, troubleshooting tool errors and recovery and other similar responsibilities.

The Quality Technician Auditor is responsible for performing in-process quality control audits and inspections throughout the manufacturing process. This role ensures that products meet internal and customer quality standards by identifying process deviations, supporting corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement in production quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and training to operators on quality requirements and best practices.

Qualifications

A key part of this role is the disposition of maverick material triggered by the Statistical Bin Limit (SBL) system—using data-driven evaluation, structured troubleshooting, and effective collaboration with cross-functional partners. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to identify failure signatures, determine root cause and failure mechanisms, recommend lot disposition, and partake on continuous improvement to reduce and improve SBL fail rates. 

This position requires keen technical curiosity, disciplined execution, clear communication, and strict adherence to lab safety and quality systems in a fast-paced production environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

1) Maverick Lot Disposition via SBL System & Deviation Management 

• Extract, interpret, and analyze test data to support SBL-triggered investigations. 

• Execute and follow up on FA actions (EFA and/or PFA) to determine disposition paths. 

• Recommend and communicate lot dispositions clearly and timely to stakeholders for quality control. 

• Maintain strong working knowledge of test processes, equipment, systems, and product behavior to enable accurate decision-making. 

• Document deviations and observations and provide feedback through the appropriate quality management system, ensuring traceability and compliance. 

2) Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) 

• Develop and maintain strong EFA skills across product technologies to identify root cause and understand failure mechanisms. 

• Utilize advanced FA tools such as an IV curve tracer, micro-prober, and bench tester to perform EFA. 

• Support site EFA activities including failure confirmation, characterization, and electrical failure data correlation studies. 

• Provide EFA support and PFA recommendations for assembly failure cases and other escalations. 

3) Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) 

• Conduct physical failure analysis and correlate electrical failure modes to physical defects when needed. 

• Perform package and sample preparation activities such as:  

• Package de-processing. 

• Cross-sectioning support (manual and/or tool-assisted) 

• IMC measurement (where applicable) 

• Utilize layout and failure localization information to correlate suspected defect locations. 

• Operate FA lab tools such as Ion Miller, FIB, EDX, SEM, 2D/3D X-ray, Thermal EMMI, and other laboratory equipment. 

• Capture, save, and organize images and data; write structured, detailed FA documentation and reports with clear conclusions and supporting evidence. 

• Coordinate with vendors for tool maintenance, upgrades, and service support; support general tool upkeep and lab readiness. 

4) Continuous Improvement & Productivity 

• Propose and implement engineering and technical improvement ideas to reduce SBL triggers and optimize SBL disposition efficiency for EFA/PFA workflows. 

• Assist engineers with initiatives to improve FA efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency (methods, tooling, templates, checklists, and standard work). 

• Support labor productivity projects that improve throughput, reduce rework, and enhance reporting quality. 

• Contribute to technical projects and, where applicable, support technical paper creation and knowledge sharing. 

Qualifications 

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. 

• Experience in test failure analysis, a lab environment, or manufacturing troubleshooting is a strong advantage.

You will support Product Planners in establishing and maintaining production plans, managing scheduling activities, and assisting with line management to ensure production targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

Production Planning Support

• Assist in establishing and maintaining production plans.

• Support Planners in analyzing and generating production plans.

• Assist in developing plans to fulfil demand signals.

• Support shipment planning to Assembly Subcontractors in coordination with Subcontractor Planners.

Production Scheduling & Control

• Review wafer bank inventory and track in‑transit wafer shipments; initiate priority shipments when required.

• Identify and schedule wafer starts to meet production requirements, including wafer sales.

• Schedule wafers for shipment to Assembly Subcontractors.

• Perform small‑quantity lot merging based on Product Engineering merging criteria prior to releasing lots to the production floor.

• Support engineering builds based on requirements such as hot lots, qualifications, evaluations, and samples.

Line Management Support

• Update production plans to support manufacturing and equipment teams in meeting production goals.

• Track and monitor WIP movement and production output to ensure targets are met.

• Expedite material movement and load additional lots when required.

• Assist Planners in tracking production plan misses and backfilling into subsequent weekly plans as needed.

Requirements

• Higher Nitec/Diploma in Engineering or relevant.

  Plans, schedules, coordinates, and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements. Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.

Job Summary:  
Equipment Technicians are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment in their assigned area, while working in partnership with Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers and tool vendors. Equipment Technicians monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to repair equipment issues.

• Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process 
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings 
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. 
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required 
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers. 
 
Minimum Required Qualifications/Experience  

• Diploma in Engineering. Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering is preferred 

• Able to work on 12 hours rotating shift.

This role ensures compliance with applicable standards, company procedures, and customer requirements through documentation control, audits, data analysis, and corrective action support.

As a Site Planning Assistant, you will partner closely with the Site Planner to commit and meet Customer and Business Requirements within the tactical planning horizon for assigned product lines.
