Details of the Division and Team

• The Institutional Client Group (ICG) is a global sales platform within Deutsche Bank’s Investment Bank covering a broad range of institutional clients, including hedge funds, insurance companies, asset managers, banks, central banks, sovereign wealth funds and private banks.

• We are looking for an Analyst or Associate to join the ICG Insurance coverage team in Singapore. The team is responsible for the distribution of financing and credit products to global insurance companies, with a particular focus on credit insurance. The role is a client facing role but also involves close collaboration with product teams across the origination, structuring, distribution and execution of transactions.

• The team is based in Singapore and is part of a broader global credit insurance platform working closely with colleagues in London. This provides cross-border collaboration and exposure to a global set of clients, products and transaction opportunities.

Your key responsibilities

• Develop relationships with global insurance companies, with a focus on credit insurance distribution

• Partner with regional financing and product teams to market and distribute structured financing opportunities to insurance clients

• Help manage transactions through the full deal lifecycle, from marketing and client engagement to execution and post-trade follow-up

• Coordinate with Legal, Trading, Operations and other internal stakeholders to support timely and well-controlled transaction execution

• Prepare client materials, support documentation review and contribute to the day-to-day management of the business pipeline

Your skills and experience

• Minimum 1 year relevant experience in credit, financing, or institutional sales

• Experience working with institutional clients, including banks, insurers, asset managers or other financial institutions

• Strong interest in structured financing products and credit insurance

Job Scope
Financial Planning & Analysis

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and reforecast financial analysis and reporting activities.
• Analyze headcount trends, structural fixed costs, and year-over-year financial performance.
• Conduct gross margin analysis by product line, offer mix, and country.
• Monitor topline performance and provide insights on revenue, profitability, and business drivers.
• Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.

Reporting & Analytics

• Develop and maintain financial dashboards, analytical reports, and performance tracking tools.

Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in FP&A, financial controlling, commercial finance, or financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, gross margin analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling, and management reporting.
• Experience working with ERP and financial planning systems such as Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, EPM, or equivalent.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting automation.
• Experience with Power Query, Power BI, VBA, or other data visualization and automation tools will be advantageous.

The candidate will join the Private Bank KYC Client Ongoing Review Team, which supports periodic reviews of existing private banking clients. The role focuses on ensuring that client profiles, account activities, and documentation remain consistent with the purpose of the banking relationship and comply with the bank’s Anti-Money Laundering / Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) requirements.

The candidate will be responsible for reviewing completed KYC (Know Your Customer) ongoing reviews, identifying potential risk issues, providing guidance to stakeholders, and supporting the bank’s overall AML control framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality review of KYC periodic ongoing reviews (OGRs) for existing private banking clients.
• Ensure reviews are completed according to internal AML policies, Private Bank procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assess whether the client’s profile, source of wealth, source of funds, account activity, and transaction behaviour remain appropriate for the private banking relationship.
• Review cases previously closed with conditions and decide whether the conditions can be removed, or whether further escalation or action is required.
• Identify potential AML/CFT risks, documentation gaps, control issues, or unusual client activity.
• Provide clear and timely guidance to Relationship Managers, Front Office, Compliance, Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Handle escalations and propose practical closure strategies or action plans.
• Support AML-related projects as a subject matter contributor or stakeholder.
• Prepare management reports on key operational risk items, review status, exceptions, and control issues.
• Suggest process improvements to strengthen review quality and reduce repeat findings from Business Compliance, Group Compliance, Internal Audit, or External Audit.

Key Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), client onboarding review, or ongoing periodic review.
• Prior experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management, or handling high-net-worth client reviews is preferred.
• Familiarity with MAS Notice 626 and/or international AML/CFT standards.
• Good understanding of client due diligence, enhanced due diligence, source of wealth, source of funds, risk assessment, and ongoing monitoring.

Mandatory Skills

Role Summary
