Responsibilities

SPECIFIC

• Facilitate project work group/users discussion to formulate project design brief for preliminary space planning, budgeting and timeline scheduling.

• Should consultancy services is required, determine scope of consultancy work, invite RFQ/tender evaluate and recommend the appointment of consultant. Manage and monitor performance of consultants.

• Review and develop conceptual/schematic/detailed planning and design, facilitate sign-off by respective stake holders/users.

• Review and develop specifications and drawings for tender, evaluate tender submissions and recommend tender awards.

• Manage contractor to ensure compliance to EHS requirement, infection control and house-rules and regulations.

• Ensure compliance of relevant local authorities’ requirement and certification.

• Monitor and ensure timely completion, manage progress, identify critical milestone and escalate issues early to clear critical path and road block.

• Conduct site inspection and handover activities with Operation and users. Ensure work done by contractors meeting good design standard and achieve good environmental outcome.

• Manage project cost within budget. Conduct value engineering and cost cutting exercise to achieve cost effectiveness.

• Support and provide technical/ design advice to operating centres in respective trained specialty and experience.

GENERAL

• Review and support continuous improvement in design integration – set design guideline/perimeter and standard control pertaining to department’s operation.

• Actively participate in improvement efforts, e.g. Environmental & Green sustainability design, Environmental health and safety initiatives

• Perform other assigned duties.

Corenet and Archi Submissions:

• Manage the end-to-end process of submitting architectural plans and documents via Corenet and Archi submissions platforms.
• Monitor submission statuses and address queries or revisions requested by regulatory bodies.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of platform updates and submission guidelines.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Create detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and reports for submission purposes.
• Maintain accurate records of all permitting activities, approvals, and correspondence.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies for permitting matters.
• Coordinate with municipal authorities to address permitting challenges and expedite approvals.
• Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with approved plans and regulations.

Problem Solving:

• Resolve issues related to permitting or compliance during the design and construction phases.
• Recommend design modifications to meet regulatory requirements while preserving project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Certification or licensure in architecture is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in architectural design and permitting processes.
• Proven expertise in Corenet and Archi submissions platforms.
• Familiarity with local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
