Bridging curriculum, pedagogy, and technology, the TIC plays a key role in ensuring that innovation is purposeful, sustainable, and grounded in improving student learning outcomes.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The specific roles and responsibilities are subject to change and evolve and may include but not be limited to any of the following areas:

Instructional Coaching & Curriculum Integration

• Partner with teachers and PLCs to design, implement, and refine high-impact learning experiences that leverage technology to enhance student learning
• Model, co-teach, and support classroom practice to demonstrate effective instructional strategies, including inquiry-based, project-based, and interdisciplinary approaches
• Support the integration of digital literacy, media literacy, and emerging technologies (including AI) into curriculum design and assessment practices
• Assist educators in differentiating instruction, providing feedback, and assessing student learning through the use of appropriate digital tools and approaches
• Contribute to the development and alignment of learning progressions and experiences that support student growth in technology-enabled learning

Professional Learning & Capacity Building

• Design and facilitate professional learning experiences aligned with school priorities, including AI integration, digital literacy, and instructional innovation
• Build educator confidence and capacity in using technology to support effective teaching and learning
• Collaborate with divisional leaders, PLC coaches, and colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality instructional practices across teams
• Develop and curate resources, exemplars, and toolkits to support staff in embedding technology meaningfully into their practice
• Support educators along a continuum of development, from initial exploration to independent and embedded use of technology

Systems, Operations & Community Engagement

• Support the effective use and implementation of core educational platforms (e.g., LMS) in partnership with IT Operations and school leadership
• Coordinate the management, deployment, and effective use of divisional educational technology resources, including relevant hardware, software, and digital platforms
• Partner with IT Operations, divisional leaders, and the Office of Learning to ensure technology resources are appropriately selected, implemented, maintained, and reviewed
• Contribute to the evaluation, selection, and acquisition of educational technology tools and resources, ensuring alignment with instructional needs, safeguarding expectations, and school-wide priorities
• Support divisional input into technology-related budget planning, procurement cycles, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with IT, library, and other teams to ensure coherent systems, processes, and support structures for educators and students
• Assist in the coordination and communication of technology-related initiatives within the division and across the school
• Contribute to communication and engagement with parents and the wider school community regarding technology use, digital literacy, and innovation

Innovation, Strategy & Program Development

• Partner with the Director of Technology & Innovation and the PK–12 Technology and Innovation Team to contribute to divisional and school-wide strategy related to technology, AI, and innovation in teaching and learning
• Support the design, development, and refinement of future-focused programs, courses, pathways, and learning experiences
• Identify, evaluate, and pilot new tools, platforms, and approaches in collaboration with divisional leaders, IT Operations, and the PK–12 Technology and Innovation Team
• Contribute to the development and implementation of frameworks, policies, and guidance related to the ethical, responsible, and developmentally appropriate use of technology and AI
• Stay informed of emerging trends in education and technology, and translate these into meaningful opportunities for the SAS context
• Share learning, insights, and promising practices across divisions to support coherence, alignment, and innovation across the school

Other Responsibilities

• Participate in professional learning opportunities, staying abreast of trends in current and emerging technologies and their application in education.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology and Innovation.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a K–12 or educational setting (teaching, coaching, or instructional support)
• Demonstrated experience supporting teaching and learning through the effective integration of technology
• Strong instructional coaching, facilitation, and collaboration skills
• Experience working with educators to design or implement learning experiences, curriculum, or professional learning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Teaching license or a degree in education
• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in instructional leadership, coaching, or coordination roles
• Experience with digital literacy, AI integration, or emerging technologies in education
• Experience in curriculum design and interdisciplinary program development
• Experience working in an international or diverse educational setting
