JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for enhancing the quality of repaired products and improvingproductivity. Minimizing the risk of delivering substandard products or missingcustomer deadlines. Lead initiatives to streamline and enhance the repairprocess by applying principles of Industrial Engineering and Leanmethodologies. Ensure high standards of repair quality and operationalefficiency, thereby directly impacting customer satisfaction and businessperformance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Process and ProductImprovement:
Identify, plan, deploy, and monitor product and process improvements toeliminate quality defects and enhance delivery performance. This includesreviewing design/engineering change documents and evaluating test procedures,measurement points, as well as tooling and equipment, to ensure maintenance isperformed efficiently across all products.
· Documentation andStandardization:
Support,create, and refine existing repair documentation to ensure consistency amongtechnicians and improve overall process efficiency. Standardize repair andtroubleshooting methods to ensure that work is performed in the most efficient,accurate, and cost-effective manner. Perform Work Factor analysis to furtherenhance operational procedures.
· Technological Enhancement andSupport:
Collaboratewith shop technicians to improve bench test capabilities and create testalternatives. Design jigs and job aids to enhance productivity and ensurehigh-quality repair outcomes.
· Design Collaboration andAnalysis:
Work with design engineers to resolve designproblems during and post-product introduction. Perform statistical analysis onproduct failures, identify trends, and provide feedback to design engineeringto minimize the company’s warranty expenses. Troubleshoot and analyze the rootcauses of system anomalies or discrepancies in both hardware and software.
· Continuous Improvement andTraining:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives byleading training sessions for technicians on new repair techniques andtechnologies. Foster a culture of lean manufacturing and continuous learningwithin the team to keep pace with industry advancements and maintaincompetitive edge.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering,Avionics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field froman accredited institution.
· 5 years of relevant experience in avionics repair or aclosely related field is required. Experience should include hands-oninvolvement in the design, troubleshooting, and repair of avionic systems andcomponents.
· Abilityto travel to domestic or international locations as required, up to 10% of thetime.
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
KEY KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong foundation in IndustrialEngineering. A high degree of understanding of aircraft terms and designrequirements, along with familiarity with avionics design.
- Well-versed in networking andsoftware skills, including familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, IP addressing, IPnetwork design, and various wireless technologies.

- Ability to write simpleprograms/scripts is desired.
- Capability to design jigs andwrite drawings in a 3D CAD environment, demonstrating a practical understandingof digital design tools.

- Ability to develop efficient,reliable repair solutions.
- A general knowledge of computerdatabases such as MySQL and Oracle is beneficial, helping to manage and analyzelarge datasets related to repair operations.
- Proficient ability to conducttechnical research, analyze complex data, and derive practical solutions.

- Ability to have regularinteractions with internal and external personnel on technical oradministrative matters requiring a seasoned, experienced professional with afull understanding of industry practices and procedures.
