The M&E Engineer shall:
a. design the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sanitary, fire protection and such other building services systems as may be required for the Project;
b. review existing services information and advise on the adequacy, replacement, upgrading, diversion or integration of existing systems and infrastructure;
c. advise on plant space requirements, service routes, maintainability, sustainability measures, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance;
d. coordinate service requirements with the Architect and C&S Engineer to achieve an integrated design solution;
e. prepare all necessary M&E drawings, calculations, specifications, schedules, forms and supporting documents for statutory approvals and tender;
f. prepare technical specifications and tender documentation for M&E works;
g. review contractor shop drawings, samples, method statements, testing and commissioning proposals and related submissions;
h. inspect and supervise M&E installation works during construction;
i. witness testing and commissioning and advise on defects and rectification;
j. assist with handover, statutory clearances and the review of operation and maintenance documentation.
