Job Responsibilities
1. Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and bookkeeping functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
2. Manage payment processes, invoicing operations, cash flow monitoring, and ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
3. Prepare and review GST filings and ensure compliance with Singapore tax regulations and statutory requirements.
4. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and support both internal and external audit processes.
5. Handle corporate tax computation, annual tax filing, and coordinate with external tax agents and auditors.
6. Compile, monitor, and analyze financial data to support management reporting, corporate governance, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic business planning.
7. Oversee payroll processing, CPF submissions, and preparation and filing of IR8A and related statutory payroll documentation.
8. Liaise with banks, auditors, corporate secretaries, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with local statutory and reporting requirements.
9. Support corporate secretarial matters, including maintenance of statutory records and coordination of board resolutions and filings where required.
10. Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, internal controls, financial processes, and accounting systems to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
11. Conduct financial analysis, cost analysis, and profitability assessments to support business decision-making and operational improvements.
12. Prepare annual budgets, monitor budget utilization, and provide variance analysis and recommendations to management.
13. Supervise and provide guidance to junior accounting staff where applicable, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of work.
Requirements
1. Diploma, Degree, or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
2. At least 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably with exposure to Singapore accounting and tax regulations. Supervisory experience will be an advantage.
3. Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST, corporate tax, CPF, and payroll regulations.
4. Experience in handling full sets of accounts and financial reporting independently.
5. Familiarity with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems will be an advantage.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
7. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
8. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Proficiency in both English and Chinese (spoken and written) to communicate with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and review Chinese financial or operational documents where required.
