We are looking for a skilled and responsible Chef to manage daily kitchen operations and prepare high-quality food in accordance with the company’s standards. The candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, monitoring food quality, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to the company’s recipes and standards
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency at all times
• Plan and prepare ingredients for daily kitchen operations
• Monitor food stock levels and inform management of replenishment needs
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements
• Minimise food wastage and control portion standards
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen assistants or junior kitchen staff when required
• Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes
• Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner
• Follow workplace safety procedures and company operating standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or in a similar kitchen role
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
• Familiar with food hygiene and safety standards
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required

• Lead and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and high performance
• Design and develop menus and recipes that meet quality and customer satisfaction goals
• Monitor and control food costs and inventory to optimize budget and reduce waste
• Enforce kitchen hygiene and safety protocols to comply with regulatory standards
• Foster teamwork and provide guidance to cooks and kitchen staff to enhance skills and productivity
• Collaborate with Food & Beverage and events departments to align kitchen output with organizational needs
• Must be able to work long hours, on weekends and on Public Holidays

· Preparation of Tasty and Authentic North & South Indian, Indo Chinese Cuisine and Diversity of Menus

· Plan and Direct Food Preparation and Culinary Activities

· Modify Menus or Create New Ones that Meet Quality Standards

· Create Innovative Menus and Food Presentations, Develop Seasonal Menus and Party Menus

· Prepare Variety of Indian Recipes Including Snacks and Desserts

· Ensure High Standards of Hygiene and Food Quality, Stock Control of Food and Related Items

· Maintain Records and Manage Food Costing Within Budgets

· Maintain Kitchen Safety, Clean and Tidy Kitchen

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under supervision
• Follow kitchen procedures and recipes to ensure consistency and quality
• Keep all kitchen areas clean, organized, and in line with hygiene and safety standards
• Properly store food items and assist in stock rotation
• Support the team with preparation tasks like chopping, portioning and plating
• Assist with cleaning duties and washing dishes when required.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Superior from time to time

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar kitchen role preferred
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Able to perform spilt shift, work on weekends and public holidays
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods
• Passion for food and willingness to learn
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
