Job Summary

We seek an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to lead financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end/year-end closing to ensure accurate financial records
• Prepare timely financial statements compliant with SFRS/IFRS accounting standards to support transparent reporting
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting to maintain financial stability and support business planning

Regulatory Compliance & Controls

• Ensure adherence to Monetary Authority of Singapore regulations and other relevant guidelines to maintain compliance
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and regulatory reviews
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard financial integrity

Business Partnering & Strategy

• Provide financial analysis and insights to inform management decision-making and drive business performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost efficiencies and operational improvements
• Support strategic initiatives including business expansion and investment evaluation to promote growth

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor finance team members to build capabilities and enhance team performance
• Improve finance processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services
• Strong knowledge of Singapore financial regulations and reporting standards
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Other Information

• Ability to read and communicate in Chinese (Mandarin) to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders, review financial documents from Chinese-speaking clients/partners, and support cross-border operations

Job Summary

The Assistant HR Manager oversees HR operations and drives people initiatives across the organisation. This role combines hands-on execution with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring effective talent acquisition, employee engagement, and HR compliance to support organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations & Team Supervision

• Oversee daily HR operations and ensure smooth execution of HR processes
• Supervise and guide HR Executive, if any, on recruitment and administrative tasks
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of HR documentation and records
• Continuously improve HR workflows and processes

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for key roles across Ops, Sales, and Academic teams
• Partner with department heads on manpower planning and hiring strategies
• Review job descriptions and ensure alignment with organisational needs
• Monitor recruitment metrics and improve hiring effectiveness

3. Employee Lifecycle Management

• Oversee onboarding, confirmation, and off boarding processes
• Ensure a smooth and positive onboarding experience for new hires
• Manage employee records, contracts, and HR systems
• Support succession planning and workforce development

4. Payroll & Compensation Oversight

• Support salary benchmarking and compensation reviews

5. Employee Engagement & Culture

• Drive employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes
• Support internal communications and culture-building activities
• Manage employee relations matters and provide guidance to managers
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment

6. Performance Management & Development

• Support and oversee performance appraisal processes
• Work with managers to identify training and development needs
• Support implementation of learning and development initiatives

7. HR Policies, Compliance & Audits

• Ensure compliance with local labour laws (e.g., MOM regulations)
• Review and update HR policies and procedures
• Support audits and regulatory requirements (e.g., EduTrust where applicable)
• Ensure proper documentation and governance standards

8. HR Reporting & Strategic Support

• Prepare HR reports and dashboards (headcount, turnover, hiring metrics)
• Analyse HR data to provide insights and recommendations
• Support HR strategy development and implementation
• Assist in budgeting and workforce planning

9. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Finance on payroll, budgeting, and cost management
• Work closely with department heads to support manpower needs
• Collaborate with Operations and Academic teams on staffing and planning

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Degree in Human Resource, Business, or related field
• 5–7 years of HR experience, with some supervisory experience
• Experience in both recruitment and HR operations
