About the role

Reporting to Production Supervisor, you’ll be responsible to manufacture quality products that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. Production Technicians are responsible for executing the processing operations that support the needs of the business. Production Technicians also perform duties associated with operating, monitoring, connecting, cleaning and troubleshooting the drying equipment.

Your responsibilities

• Accountable for personal safety and also safety of others.
• Production Technicians will be assigned either to the dry side, liquid side or control room for the processing operations and may rotate through each area whenever required.
• Monitor and execute proper functions of the process equipment including wet process, dryers, fluid beds, bag houses and bulk transport systems.
• Operate the processing computer control system, including trouble shooting issues and monitoring while in operations.
• Adhere strictly to all GMP requirements to ensure proper manufacturing environment.
• Actively participate in the resolution of downtime issues.
• Assist in the creation of SOP’s, checklist, and work instructions whenever required.
• Provide training and guidance to new employees whenever required.
• Perform all secondary duties associated with the processing operations (including maintaining of log-sheets and batch records)
• Perform all required cleaning as instructed (including making proper sanitary connections for all forms of cleaning).
• Perform chemical tests and maintain day tank levels whenever required.
• Perform all assigned preventative maintenance of drying equipment whenever required.
• Execute proper disassembly and assembly of various machineries in the production areas.
• Complete all necessary transactions, reports and documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment at all times.
• Demonstrate capability to use independent judgment and work well within a team environment.

The experience we're looking for

• At least a diploma or degree in the related field of study (sciences, technical, health-related, food manufacturing etc).
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Previous experience in food, pharmaceutical or nutrition-related business and training preferred.
• Willing to work 12-hr rotating day and night shift
• Willing to work in Tuas
• Close attention to detail and experience with detailed documentation of tasks performed.
• Proven ability to follow up and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor equipment for surface treatment (e.g. UV-ozone or plasma), screen printing of conductive and dielectric inks, thermal curing, enzyme dispensing, and pattern cutting (e.g. laser or die cut).
• Maintain production records and documentation.
• Perform basic checks on product quality during production.
• Help improve processes and support pilot production runs.
• Carry out other tasks as directed by supervisors.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Technician assists in carrying out shift duty smoothly by repairing, maintaining and ensuring that all electrical and mechanical equipment including lighting throughout the hotel are operating satisfactorily.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

2.1 Assisting the Facilities Engineer with the design of a preventative maintenance program

2.2 Carrying out minor repairs at guest rooms or public areas

2.3 Service and repair all electrical and mechanical equipment such as, but not limited to, motors, starters, switchgears, fittings, wiring, vacuum machines, all laundry, kitchen equipment, cables and all electrical machines throughout the hotel

2.4 Carry out masonry works for all walls, beams, pillars and posts; cement floor traps, floor tiles, vinyl tiles, long bath grouting, pipe duct and staircases

2.5 Clear all obstructions in sewer, waste pipe, soil channels and grease interceptor system

2.6 Repair defective flushing system, toilet bowls, urinals, basins, vent pipes and air-conditioning waste pipes as well as service and clean all grease traps

2.7 Assist other technicians to perform other jobs as required by Management within and outside hotel premises

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

3.1 Minimum Professional Certificate/ NiTEC/ Diploma in Engineering

3.2 Minimum 2 years of proven working experience in similar position

3.3 Basic in English language

3.4 Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating

3.5 Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols

3.6 Proficient in reading schematics and work plans

The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for:

Supporting the company's quality control operations by conducting product testing and inspection activities to ensure products meet established quality standards and manufacturing requirements.

• Perform daily quality control testing to support manufacturing operations, incoming inspections, and recurring inspections.
• Assist in product quality investigations, including root cause analysis of customer complaints and production rejects, by reviewing records and conducting stability studies.

Job Requirements:

• Experience operating laboratory equipment such as Gas Chromatographs (GC), Differential Scanning Calorimeters (DSC), Autotitrators, and Karl Fischer Titrators is an advantage.
