The Food and Beverage Service Executive supervises his/her team members through proactive, interactive and reactive leadership, allowing each member of the team to feel confident and to completely satisfy our guests during their dining experience. • Makes sure all silver and glassware are polished, wiped and spotless.

• Picks up check before guests leave and wish every guest a warm farewell while thanking them for their visit.

Job Description

• Full Cycle Accounting: Responsible for preparing full sets of accounts
• Month-end processes: Manage closing procedures and prepare monthly financial reports for management review.
• Regulatory compliance: Prepare and file GST reports, ensuring adherence to tax regulations.
• Cash management: Update cashflow reports to provide insights on financial liquidity.
• Audit support: Liaise with auditors and draft financial statements forreview.
• Create and issue sales invoices to customers/sales team, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with relevant requirements.
• Follow up with customers on overdue payments.
• Receive, verify, and process invoices from vendors and suppliers.
• Assist in managing cash flow by optimizing payment timing.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing audit schedules and journal entries.
• Assist with internal and external auditor requirements, including accounting-related documents and records.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or professional qualification (ACCA, CA, CIMA, etc.)
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in full set of accounts.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to excellent customer service.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.

As part of our continued growth in Asia, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our finance team in Singapore.

This position is part of our financial services team that supports COVA's entities across Southeast Asia and Australia. The role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of finance and accounting operations across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Data Entry & Transaction Processing 

• Prepare and process financial data entries in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal accounting policies. 

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely. 

• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, journals, and supporting schedules. 

 2. Bank Reconciliation & AR/ AP Maintenance 

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts to ensure accuracy between bank records and internal books. 

• Prepare AP payments across multiple entities and familiar with forex transactions. 

• Maintain and update accounts receivable / payables records. 

 3. Management Reporting and Regulatory Compliance 

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including detailed schedules and variance analysis. 

• Assist in interpreting financial data to support business performance reviews and decision-making. 

• Support the year-end closing process and assist with audit schedules where required. 

• Prepare and file Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns in compliance with IRAS regulations. 

• Liaise with external tax agents or authorities where necessary. 

4. Ad-Hoc Tasks & Administrative Support 

• Perform ad-hoc accounting duties, reconciliations, or data analysis as assigned by the Finance Manager or Director. 

• Assist in process improvement initiatives, financial system updates, or documentation reviews. 

• Perform ad-hoc office administrative support. 

 5. Reporting & Team Collaboration 

• Provide regular financial updates and reports to the Finance Manager or Accountant. 

• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support financial operations and compliance activities across the groups in Asia and Australia 

Qualifications:

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in accounting

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a related financial role.

• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks), MS Office, and Excel.

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency in both verbal and written English.

• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Perform cross-checking and payroll processing for all accounts
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll submission

Reporting

• Generate Gross Profit (GP) reports for projects

Payroll Operations &Process Improvement

• Support payroll processing for large-scale (mega) projects
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing payroll calculation tools
• Participate in payroll process improvements and automation initiatives

What are we looking for

• At least 1 - 3 years of relevant AP or AR experience
• IT-savvy with strong Excel skills (formulas, logic-based processing)
• Comfortable working with structured data and process workflows
• Detail-oriented with strong coordination skills
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities
• Payroll experience is an advantage
