Job Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Financial Markets Sales professional to join our team and play a key role in connecting clients to investment opportunities across asset classes. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted partner to institutional clients, helping them access liquidity, manage risk, and achieve their strategic financial goals. By combining market expertise, deep product knowledge, and collaboration across teams, you’ll deliver tailored solutions that create long-term value for both clients and the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
• To develop the Bank’s relationships with Clients through marketing and sales of Financial Market products
• Execution role to support drive Flow Repo revenues in Singapore region
• Drive the wider Financial Markets strategy to align with Bank’s Long Term objectives and opportunities
• Partner with key internal stakeholders including Trading, Structuring and Risk Teams
• Ensure adherence and compliance to Regulatory standards of Trade Capture and booking models
• Business enabler and assist to co-ordinate, upskill and drive resource allocation. Supports on initiatives and pursues opportunities across HK & wider ASEAN region in Repo space
Strategy
• Diligent coverage of the daily flow business meeting all required standards and procedures
• Champion digitilsation and automation efforts, identifying and implementing solutions that improve efficiency and the Client experience
• Lead initiatives to enhance Cross-Asset and Cross-Border collaboration, ensuring integration of Products & Services for clients whilst maximising returns
• Drive the client engagement for RWA optimisation to improve the overall FM product RoRWA
Business
• Achieving assigned full year budget as per annual Year End Review document for Client Income from allocated Client Accounts
• Within this budget, aim to generate specific Financial Markets Product mix as per Year End Review Document
Processes
• The role will involve liaising with clients and executing trades and orders in line with SCB’s policy and procedures consistent with all FM Sales staff globally including Order Handling , Record Keeping and Best Execution
• Accountable for ensuring appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructures are in place to enable the business processes to be efficient, appropriate and compliant with internal policies, procedures, codes and applicable external laws and regulations
• Monitor the utilization of each client’s trading limits with SCB, obtain specific approval for any excess likely to arise as a result of a particular transaction
• Continued provision of best-in-class service to help build the financial markets relationship.
People and Talent
• Contribute to technical innovation and share knowledge within the engineering community.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, lead internal workshops and seminars, encourage team participation in innovation initiatives

• Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Our Ideal Candidate
3+ years of banking experience
Ability to build client relationships with content led approach
Entrepreneurial instinct to identify trade opportunities and drive flow
Skill set aligned to a fast paced, flow price/execution market
Clear understanding of financial markets and the varying asset classes
Excellent written & oral communication skills
Can work independently to strict timeframes
Institutional knowledge of the bank and stakeholder groups
