RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be working in a team to ensure accurate and timely closing of period-end accounts, process transactions and provide effective support to the business in the following areas:

• Responsible for the daily accounting and transaction processing of the business.

• Provide guidance and review the transaction processing of the business performed by Finance Officer.

• Month-end closing of the entity-level accounts of the business and generation of financial statements and reports.

• Prepare / review monthly schedules and reconciliations and perform intercompany billings and reconciliations of inter-company transactions and balances.

• Assist the Finance Manager in all aspects of accounting and financial matters, which include the year-end audit procedures, quarterly.

• GST reporting, verification of income tax comps, and the preparation of various reports / responses to government stat boards.
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferably with at least 3 years of experience specializing in Finance 

• General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.

• Proficient in MS Office applications with MS Excel skills

• Meticulous and organized individual who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Salary: Up till $4,000 (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)

- Performs picking/packing of medications under Bin Coding System
- Supports Medication Delivery Service (MDS) and PILBOX/EZYBOX Services for remote collection of medications
- Assists in patient management of Scriptless Dispensing workflow

• Supervise and lead a team of staff in the section in handling day-to-day grant-related financial matters, month-end and year-end accounts closing, including the preparation and/or review of the monthly, quarterly and year-end audit schedules
• Responsible for the good quality of the grant-related balance sheet accounts
• Review grant documents and apply the appropriate accounting treatment for grant project accounts
• Review grant variation documents and update relevant project account details
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims and prompt disbursements
• Ensure no outstanding items in project accounts and deactivate project account promptly upon expiry
• Review grant-related billings and statement of accounts
• Review incoming grant funds and resolve unreconciled sums

• Responsible for grant-related GST, corporate tax and other statistical submissions
• Liaise with internal and external auditors on grant-related audit matters

Requirements

• At least a Degree in Accountancy or ACCA equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience, with 1-year experience in a supervisory position
• Higher qualified/experienced candidates will be considered for the Senior Finance Executive/Senior Accountant position
• IT savvy - proficient in Microsoft Office such as MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Hands-on experience with SAP system will be an advantage
• Prior audit experience will be an advantage
• Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
• Able to take pressure and work within tight deadlines
• Meticulous, motivated, committed, resourceful and able to work independently
