Job Summary

Deliver nurturing and engaging early childhood education by preparing and reviewing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards. Communicate effectively with parents and provide regular updates on children’s development to support their growth.

Responsibilities

• Teach and engage children with care and passion to foster a positive learning environment
• Communicate with parents to share relevant information and address concerns as needed
• Prepare and review lesson plans and evaluation forms in accordance with the established curriculum
• Compile and organize children’s portfolios for Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) sessions
• Provide regular, detailed updates on each child’s developmental progress to support individualized learning

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (English) - L2
• Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (English) - L1

Teachers needed:

• Primary Science and Secondary Biology

Full Time: $2600 to $3200 per month (commensurate with experience)

Part Time: $40 to $50 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Working hours:

Full Time: Mon to Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm

Part Time: Mon to Fri between 9am to 4.30pm

Location: East

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and conduct lessons according to the course syllabus and scheme of work

• Provide necessary supervision to the students and report students’ discipline issues to the Student Affairs staff

• Schedule and prepare examination papers and assignments

• Monitor the performance and progress of each student, including academic counselling

• Give feedback to Management about the continual improvement of the class performance

• Mark and grade all course work, assignments and examination papers

• Give feedback to Management on the course proceedings at the end of semester/course/modules

• Participate in programme review meetings

Requirements:

• Minimum a Bachelors Degree

• At least 1 year of relevant experience

About the role

We are looking for a Science Teacher (Primary) to deliver engaging and effective science lessons for P3–P6 students.

This role focuses on strong lesson delivery, student understanding, and contributing to a consistent and high-quality learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach 10 to 12 classes per week including covering classes where required. Single weekend contract available.
• Deliver structured and engaging science lessons using the centre’s curriculum and teaching approach
• Explain concepts clearly and guide students in applying answering techniques
• Monitor student understanding and address learning gaps during lessons
• Mark students’ work, track their progress, and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain a safe, focused, and positive learning environment
• Build rapport with parents and provide updates on student progress termly
• Support trial classes and centre-level activities
• Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions

• Degree in Science or related field (MOE/NIE-trained preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in primary science following MOE syllabus
• Strong subject knowledge with clear and structured explanation style
• Able to engage students and manage classroom effectively

• Open to feedback and continuous improvement
