The Department of Architecture's Research by Design (RxD) program is seeking a highly qualified, interdisciplinary, and inspirational candidate for the position of Assistant Professor in Architectural Design (Tenure Track). We are looking for an individual with expertise in creative design research – research through design – who is committed to addressing pressing global challenges such as decarbonization, social justice, and inclusive futures. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on tropical geographies, particularly Southeast Asia and/or other equatorial climates, integrating these contexts into innovative design solutions for warming and fractured world futures. A PhD or a Master's degree is a prerequisite for this position.

We seek candidates whose research is deeply embedded in creative design practice and demonstrated through a robust portfolio of creative practice outputs, validated through peer-reviewed publications and societal engagement. Candidates should have a proven ability to lead with forward-thinking, anticipatory design ideas that influence both the profession and society. We are especially interested in candidates who are leaders in Research by Design methods and who leverage creative practice to envision and manifest a more just world through traditional and nontraditional research outputs. The Department is looking for a forward-thinking senior professional in the field of urban planning/urban design whose work demonstrates sustained commitment to understanding cities as complex, interconnected systems. The ideal candidate should have a robust professional portfolio and/or extensive urban design and/or urban planning studio teaching experience. He/she should be able to demonstrate how leveraging professional experience as a teaching tool can inform the academic curriculum, within the academic studio setting and beyond. 
The applicant should hold a relevant graduate degree (Master or above) by the time of appointment. He/she should demonstrate a strong and sustained career in practice for at least 6 years and show the potential to be a leader in a domain of specialization.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are able to work across disciplines and scales – from (building/urban space to) neighborhood to city to region – to address pressing environmental, urban, and social challenges in Singapore, Asia and beyond, and who can translate professional connections and practice knowledge into sound pedagogical frameworks and research opportunities for the department. Demonstrated expertise in urban development and governance, geo-spatial analysis, systems thinking applied to urban contexts, integrated sustainable design, climate resilience, urban transitions, ecological performance, resource flows, social dynamics and the intersection of design and policy is highly desired. 
The successful candidate will lead urban design and planning studios in the various graduate degree programmes offered by the Department. He/she is expected to bring to the studio an ability to frame problems at multiple scales simultaneously, to work with digital data and spatial analysis tools, and to guide students toward design proposals that are grounded in systemic understanding rather than formal invention alone. In addition, he/she is expected to teach core courses and electives based on his/her areas of specialization, and in accordance with the expected teaching load of full-time faculty.

We are seeking a committed, detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join our accounting team. This role offers hands-on exposure to financial reporting, period-end closing, audit preparation, and process improvement within a fast-paced commodity trading environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Financial Reporting & Closing

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with IFRS.
• Support reconciliation of key general ledger accounts and transaction postings.
• Help compile management reporting packs for internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to journal entries, accruals, and adjustments during month-end and year-end close.

Audit & Compliance

• Support external and internal audit processes by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
• Draft and maintain accounting memos documenting key judgments, policies, and treatments.
• Ensure financial records are properly maintained and aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Tax & Regulatory Reporting

• Support the preparation of corporate tax computations in line with local tax laws and regulations.
• Review GST balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of GST returns, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Expense Review & Process Management

• Review and validate Concur invoice reports for accuracy.
• Document end-to-end trade process flows for accounting and operational reference.
• Support process improvement initiatives, including automation of reporting and reconciliations using Excel macros/VBA.
