We are looking for a Field Service Engineer, 4-stroke. This is a permanent opportunity, and its location is Singapore.
As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities for the role include:
-Performing field service activities according to the work plan.
-Performing basic troubleshooting (running tests, fine tuning, adjustments, trimming related to running performance) on Wartsila 4-Stroke engine according to customer’s requirements.
- Independently performing major/complex repairs and complete overhauls and commissioning activities
- Leading and managing assigned team and related activities during the work execution.
- Interacting with customers during the work execution.
- Reporting of internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
- Creating the Service Work Reports.
- Ensuring that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
- Advising and promoting available products and solutions to customers.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- BSC Degree with 2-5 years of working experience in the related field
- Diploma in marine engineering with more than 5 years of working experience in the related field
- Have broad knowledge of Wärtsilä equipment.
- Excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Good command of English, both written and oral
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time
- Ability to communicate and interact well with customers and other stakeholders
- Literacy in Information Management Applications/ Tools such as MS Office
