The Accounts Executive is a mid-level finance professional responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the integrity of financial data. This role goes beyond basic data entry; you will be responsible for full-set accounting, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with local reporting standards. You will act as a bridge between the junior support staff and the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Set Accounting:

  • Manage and maintain a full set of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).

  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities accurately and on schedule.

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare monthly management reports, budget variances, and financial statements.

  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.

• Compliance & Tax:

  • Prepare and submit GST/VAT filings and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents for year-end audits and corporate tax filings.

• Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor cash flow positions and prepare weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts.

  • Oversee credit control and ensure timely collection from debtors.

Regulatory Knowledge

Strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and local tax laws.
