Job Summary:

The Airfreight Customer Service Executive (Import) in Freight Forwarding is responsible for managing end-to-end airfreight shipments on behalf of customers, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality service delivery. This role requires strong knowledge of airfreight forwarding operations, shipment documentation, customs regulations, and coordination with carriers, ground handling agents, and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end airfreight forwarding shipments, including booking, documentation, coordination with airlines and ground handlers, customs clearance (for imports), export documentation, billing, and shipment closure.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding import and export shipments, providing timely updates, handling inquiries, and resolving operational issues.
• Coordinate with airlines, ground handling agents, trucking partners, and customs authorities to ensure smooth shipment execution and compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and internal operational procedures.
• Take ownership of complex or high-value shipments, proactively resolving delays, documentation discrepancies, or customs queries.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, reports, and regulatory documentation for internal, customer, and regulatory purposes.
• Support and guide junior customer service staff in airfreight forwarding procedures, shipment documentation, and best practices.
• Escalate unresolved customer or operational issues to management, ensuring appropriate follow-up.

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of airfreight import processes, documentation, and customs requirements.
• Experience manage multiple airfreight import shipments simultaneously
• Previous hands-on experience in using Cargowise system is preferred.

Job Requirements:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel

Job Scope

This role focuses on comprehensive data cleaning and process reviews, working closely with different corporate functions to update data and digitalise staff movement processes.

Your responsibilities include:

• Clean, validate, and standardise personnel data within the HR and Payroll System (HRPS)

• Coordinate across corporate functions (e.g. HR, Tech, Admin) to streamline and automate onboarding and offboarding processes

• Engage with various stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure data accuracy

• Facilitate meetings to align stakeholder needs with practical technical solutions

• Document data cleaning and proper data entry procedures and perform data migration from existing documents

• Facilitate change management and engage stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of process changes

• Prepare user manual and facilitate training for users where applicable

• Track project progress and coordinate deliverables between different teams

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma Holder

• Technical skills such as in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, RPA or other data and automation tools

• Experience with data validation, quality assurance and automation processes

• Good knowledge of SharePoint for collaboration, document management, and workflow coordination

• Strong project coordination abilities and stakeholder management skills

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail when working with large, complex datasets

Contract duration: 6 months contract (with option to extend for another 6 months)

Location: High Street

Working hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 9am – 6.30pm
• Friday: 9am – 6.00pm
• (Flex hours can be arranged with Reporting Officer)

Salary: $15 to $16 per hour
