• Work with the supplier to agree on corrective actions to resolve escalated issues (e.g., chasing suppliers for OTD) or look for alternative suppliers when necessary.
• Support NPIs.
• Close teamwork with global SSM (Strategic Supply Management) (support of supplier evaluation, in phasing in new products, and in managing demand requests for Project-Material Orders) and Operational purchasing in Asia (Malaysia and China).
• Hand over engineering change requests to suppliers (close teamwork with Manufacturing Engineering).
• Prepare analysis and statistics to control and support the sourcing strategy and strategic planning.
• Proactive improvement of the quality along the entire supply chain in close cooperation with all involved departments (Product Group, Research & Development, Material Management, Finance).
• Control and verify invoices with price deviations referring to PO.
• Negotiate contracts with non-product and product-related suppliers (to be signed Management).
• Make sure that all necessary purchasing parameters (vendor data, contracts) are given and stored properly and take appropriate actions whenever necessary.

Accountability

• Execution of total daily business of material purchasing.
• Establishment of timely availability of all ordered materials and services.
• Optimization of material flow and of inventory level.
• Implementation of supplier contracts in purchasing (PT, Incoterms, etc.).
• Achieve defined cost targets and shortest lead times.

Work experience

• 3 years’ experience in global sourcing.
• Experience in supplier qualification, auditing and corrective action processes.

Expertise and methodology

• Experience in SAP/R3.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Able to optimize the supplier relationship by combining supplier’s and internal processes, building trust, and measuring and developing suppliers.
• Good understanding of the supply chain and of the critical production and assembly processes.
• MS Office package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and automate purchasing reports and dashboards (e.g. Power BI / Excel) to support decision-making and continuous improvement

• Act as the key Supply Chain representative for project coordination, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services

• Manage Purchase Orders (POs) for project and operational needs, including subcontract and external service requirements

• Monitor supplier performance (OTIF, quality, delivery) and drive corrective actions where required

• Coordinate closely with internal teams (Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance) to resolve discrepancies between Work Orders and Purchase Orders

• Proactively identify supply risks and implement mitigation strategies through supplier engagement and planning

• Drive sourcing initiatives to achieve cost optimization, lead time improvement, and better commercial terms

• Establish and manage supplier agreements while ensuring continuous improvement in performance and cost efficiency

• Plan and coordinate material deliveries to meet project timelines and business requirements

• Maintain accurate procurement data including supplier records, pricing, and spend tracking

• Participate in material reviews and ensure timely escalation of supply issues

• Support KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain function
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement / sourcing / supply chain within a manufacturing environment

• Strong experience in project-based purchasing and supplier management

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or equivalent)

• Experience using Power BI / Power Automate / Excel for reporting and data analysis

• Solid understanding of supply-demand planning, inventory management, and cost impact

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to make independent decisions

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills (internal & external)

• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities

• Proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented

• Exposure to commodity pricing trends

• Understanding of general manufacturing processes
