• To carry out supervisory roles in day to day site activities including taking care of workers.
• Ensure all works are carried out within schedule and maintains the required quality.
• Coordinate between colleagues from different departments to ensure the smooth transition of works and eliminate abortive works through regular discussions.
• To supervise subcon works and ensure subcontractor’s progress in accordance to schedule.
• Ensure proper preparation of work areas to carry out the works and ensure adequate materials preparation for execution.
• To coordinate with client’s supervisory staffs on a day to day activities, inspections, etc.
• To liaise with Main-con and other contractors to ensure smooth operation.
• Monitor performance of subcontractors, evaluate the progress and manpower to ensure adequacy and adhering to schedule.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and site procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization.
• Prepare daily site reports, work schedules, and progress updates.
• Identify and resolve site issues and technical problems promptly.

• Plan, lead and monitor progress and performance against the project plan
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project, which includes manpower planning, construction progress monitoring, preparation of master schedule and cost control
• Take actions to deal with the results of delay, bad weather or emergencies at construction site
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and authorities in resolving site issues
• Effectively applies safe and economical methodology enforces project standards

Minimum 12 years of engineering experience with Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control as eligible for application as a Resident Engineer or Recognized Degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the Engineer, and at least 10 years of experience in managing construction teams for projects of similar scale and complexity.

· Manage and prepare comprehensive cost estimates for all tender submissions

· Source, evaluate, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors

· Carry out quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns based on drawings, specifications, and document requirements

· Review and interpret tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and contract requirements, to ensure full understanding of the project scope

· Identify discrepancies in tender documents and raise timely clarification queries

· Provide cost inputs and supporting data in accordance with tender submission requirements

· Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors

· Prepare tender costing sheets

· Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of the works and deliverables

Requirements:

· Diploma and/or Degree above in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
