As a DRAM and Emerging Memory Quality and Reliability Assurance (DEMQRA) High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Returned Material Authorization (RMA) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing and tracking the formal Failure Analysis (FA) of customer-returned product. You will summarize analysis at the electrical and physical level, identify root cause, and establish associated containment plan. • Responsible for setting up improvement activities on dedicated products.
• Driving Product Quality Circle within dedicated parties (Sustaining Teams, Platform leaders, HOD’s ..)
• Central part of improvement team in sense of input, coordinator, support on dedicated tasks.
• Supporting escalation in the after sales area (NPI or customer escalation)
• Participating in customer quality calls and task force meeting.
• Close collaboration with the product line & technical support according to the learning's out of onsite trouble shooting and raising preventive knowledge within the organisation.
• Lead all project related documentation and ensure communication (8D-Report, action plans and follow up)
• Initiating and supporting product related analysis
• Interaction with production facility
• Participate customer audits and customer improvement programs.
• Preparation of after sales data and KPI monitoring and reporting.
   

Education

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Machining related with 3 years working experience in similar industry.
• Knowledge in project management and Quality Tools

Work experience

• Good understanding of reliability theories & methods (DFMEA, SPC, 8Ds…) and semiconductor manufacturing processes,
• Experienced in quality methods, data analysis and continuous improvement.
• Being in a driver role and push improvements,
• Fast ability to understand company structure and interact with many interfaces
   

Expertise and methodology

• Knowledge in process management for product related business processes, specifically design, engineering, SCM and production (i. e. operational)
• Familiarity with cleanroom protocols (class 10/100) and semiconductor workflows
• Competency in MS-office for data analysis, reporting & presentation
• Familiarity with the Atlassian JIRA system

Job Summary and Description:  

The TD MDE Shift Engineer is responsible for robust shift-level operations that support TD work you're doing. This role acts as the critical bridge between real-time shift execution and TD strategic objectives, translating priorities into actionable plans that ensure process stability, yield protection and operational excellence. The Shift Engineer coordinate directly with TD 1st Shift team members, HVM Shift Ops Team and multi-functional teams to deliver consistent, high-quality execution. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Safety & Quality: 

• Finishes the required safety training and adheres to safety and regulatory policies

• Proactively identifies and resolves safety and quality issues with stakeholders

• Drives reduction of injuries, hazards, and environmental incidents

Shift Operations

• Serves as 2nd line of defense for shift critical area issues (lot hold, disposition, excursions, line-downs, tool downs) interfacing HVM Ops team and TD 1st shift Process Development teams.

• Partners with TD 1st Shift, HVM Ops, and cross-functional teams to set priorities, resolve issues, and meet goals.

• Ensures robust reaction plans, and timely updates for shift teams

• Develops and executes plans to resolve on shift process/tool issues, improve output, and mitigate quality risks

• Collaborate with PDE, EDE, and suppliers to maintain process/tool performance, availability, and area improvements

• Partners with shift lead to align area goals and establish clear line-of-sight objectives

• Manages projects to meet scope, schedule, and deliverables; tracks actions and call outs as needed

Process Development Support

• Provide Process Development support include but are not limited to: FA/VPD Submission, Wafer Shipments, SWR execution & data collection, critical lots health check and redundancy execution etc.

• Partner with shift technicians on performing to complex tasks, issues and deliver to engineering development intent.

• Uses data-driven analysis to drive yield and quality troubleshooting on duty and key decisions making.

• Provides technical expertise and troubleshooting for sophisticated process and equipment issues, driving root cause resolution/containment and deliver to engineering development intent.

• Supports business processes and ensures control of chronic tool/process issues (SPC, alarms, inventory)

• Partners with 1st shift MDE team to build training plans, improve efficiency and work on strategic projects
   

Requirements :

• Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical / Materials Engineering or 3-4 years of wafer fabrication proven experience
  Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and SPC/process control, yield/defect mechanism and process flow interaction knowledge

• Proficient in relevant Micron systems/tools (e.g., SPC, GerM, MES Central, SWR etc) and passion for automation/AI Agent adoption.

• Solid understanding of yield, defect mechanisms, process interactions, and GeRM risks

• Flexible to work permanent 12 hours day shift and night shift based on business need
