Accounts / Finance Support

• Handle daily accounting tasks such as data entry, invoicing, and receipts

Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Information Science or Knowledge Management

The candidate would have experience in one or more of the following primary areas: Library science and technology; Data, text and social media analytics; Human-computer and AI interaction; Informetrics; Digital curation and preservation; Information organisation and management; and Human information behaviour. Having a secondary area of technical expertise in programming for analytics or artificial intelligence applications would be a plus, although not mandatory. The candidate is expected to possess a doctorate in an appropriate field from a reputable university.

NTU is investing in digital humanities, arts and social sciences. The selected candidate would contribute to this cross-disciplinary initiative.

Job Responsibilities :

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment , and following up on outstanding payments.
• Provide administrative support to accounting team, including record keeping, data entry and document management.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper filing of accounting documents.
• Enter financial transactions accurately into accounting systems.
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing activities.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience in an accounts administrationor similar role. Candidates with invoicing and billing experience will be an added advantage.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
• A team player with a positive working attitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Able to manage deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

To qualify for the role you must have:

• Diploma in Accountancy/Taxation/Business related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
• ISCA & ACCA member certified is preferred and a plus.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting & finance;
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles;
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency;
• Expertise in time management, and the ability to adapt to change under pressure.
• Highly collaborative approach to work.
• Experience with Formal Accounting Software such as XERO
