Job Description

The Duke-NUS Centre for Biomedical Data Science (CBDS) serves as a central hub for Duke-NUS faculty specialising in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other quantitative and data-driven sciences. CBDS functions as a strategic platform for cutting-edge research, education, and services in data science, AI, and biomedical computation, building on existing institutional initiatives such as DAISI.

Dr. Xiaoyu Song’s laboratory at Duke-NUS Medical School is seeking a motivated Research Assistant or Research Associate to support ongoing projects in biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, artificial intelligence (AI), and multi-omics data analysis.

The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team developing statistical, computational, and AI-driven approaches to analyse complex biomedical data. Research areas may include bulk and single-cell omics, spatial transcriptomics, proteogenomics, and integrative AI models to advance understanding of complex human diseases.

Depending on experience and training, the candidate will contribute to data analysis, model development and implementation, literature review, interpretation of results, and coordination of research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with data cleaning, management, processing, and analysis of biomedical and omics datasets.
• Support the implementation, testing, and application of statistical, computational, or AI-based methods.
• Contribute to the development, evaluation, and interpretation of statistical or AI models under supervision.
• Conduct literature reviews and summarise key research findings.
• Prepare tables, figures, presentations, and written summaries of research results.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including biostatisticians, clinicians, biologists, students, and research staff.
• Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts and reports, as appropriate.
• Provide support for project coordination and routine administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, organising materials, tracking timelines, and preparing documentation for reports or submissions.
• Maintain accurate and organised research records and documentation.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in statistical modelling, machine learning, or high-dimensional data analysis.
• Prior experience in data analysis, statistical programming, machine learning, or computational research is preferred.
• Proficiency in R, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
• Prior exposure to genomics, transcriptomics, single-cell, imaging, or other biological datasets is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare stir fry dishes consistently following company standards to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction
• Oversee daily operational activities to maintain smooth workflow and timely service delivery
• Develop and manage staff duty rosters, assigning tasks to optimize team productivity and coverage
• Monitor and enforce staff adherence to Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to maintain operational compliance
• Conduct comprehensive orientation and training programs for new staff to accelerate onboarding and skill development
• Coordinate inventory ordering and management with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize waste
• Implement and uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment
• Address and resolve customer complaints promptly to enhance customer experience and loyalty
• Execute additional duties as assigned by management to support business needs

Required competencies and certifications

• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant food and beverage managerial experience

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and decision-making quality

Job Responsibilities

• Perform daily loading and unloading as well as scans/records all packages from container
• Verify and stack all incoming goods with full container load, loose container load and check the receipts to ensure accuracy
• Assist the Warehouse In-Charge in the running daily functions, preparation of reports, inventory updating and maintenance housekeeping of the warehouse
• any other ad hoc duties assigned by department manager
• Physically Fit

• Possess Forklift License will be an advantage
• At least 1-year of relevant working experience in the related field is preferred

The Assistant Manager assists the Restaurant General Manager with the management of Summer Palace, in line with Conrad brand standards, brand pillars and prescribed Hilton policies and procedures.

What will I be doing?

As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• To assist in recruiting/hire, train, supervise and discipline staffs as necessary for a smooth operation

• Conduct departmental orientation for all new team members

• Ensure the grooming standard are being met and maintained, demonstrating a professional image for our guests

• Actively check team members’ product knowledge on each shift

• Supervise the restaurant roster on a daily basis and ensure it is in line with the changing business levels, making any changes in order to achieve the F&B team service standards and budget goals

• Complete the Attendance Report for payroll purposes
