Job Purpose:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the Club’s housekeeping operations, include ensuring high standards of cleanliness, maintenance support, hygiene,and service quality for members and guests and landscaping. The role involves supervising staff and contractors, ensuring high standards of hygiene in public areas, shower rooms, and the pool area, while maintaining cost efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and manage all housekeeping operations,ensuring the Club’s cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards.
2. To work within budgetary cost and improve methods.
3. Oversee contractors and staff for Cleaning (3-in-1), External Façade Cleaning,Landscaping/Tree Pruning, Pest Control, Laundry, Washroom Hygiene, Refuse Collection, and related housekeeping services.
4. To be able to make and measure decision making process, are responsible and accountable for result.
5. To ensure all work stations’ cleanliness, employees’ attitude, behavior, personal cleanliness, compliance with Club rules and regulation.
6. Management and control adequacy of inventory of all housekeeping, supplies.
7. Stand in the capacity of Head Maintenance when required.
8. Responsible for the financial performance and constantly review the cost effectiveness of the Department.
9. To provide adequate training & direction for the employees directly supervised thus maintaining clarity of work assignment. Coordinating subordinates’ duties, providing help when needed, reviewing finishing work and make objective decision with Policy. Develop standard procedures for daily activities which will enable employees to adopt consistent work habits thus giving identical services to members daily.
10. To liaise closely with Maintenance Department to carry out maintenance works and defects and F & B for functions. Initiate and maintain effective communication between each other.
11. To plan and schedule manpower concerning the club housekeeping, gardening /landscaping checking regularly and inspecting works being performed and ensure that standards are being met and maintained. To utilize manpower effectively, delegating tasks to others to get job done properly and timely. To supervise,guide, discipline and evaluate staff in the areas of responsibility.
12. To see to the strict compliance of the personnel directly supervised with standards on Departments’ grooming and general appearance. To ensure and enforce that personnel directly supervised to adhere to all Club’s policies and procedures.
13. To liaise with Contractors in regards to Pest Control, Landscape, Marble Polishing, Cleaning, Laundry, Rubbish Collections, etc.
14. To liaise with Suppliers in regards to toiletries, toilet papers, hand towels,face towels etc.
15. To raise Purchase Requisition Order and prepare monthly inventories for cleaning supplies and toiletries and monitor usage of members to reduce wastage and pilferage.
16. Conduct regular inspections of public areas, function rooms, and VIP events to ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently maintained.
17. Any other duties/projects as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management.
18. Workplace Safety:
- Follow the workplace safety and health system, safe work procedures or safety rules implemented at the workplace.
- Not engage in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger yourself or others working around you.
- Use personal protective equipment provided to you to ensure your safety while working. You must not tamper with or misuse the equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or NITEC/Certificate in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Facilities Management, Housekeeping equivalent or related field with at least 3 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping, preferably in a club, hotel,or F&B environment.
- Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to liaise professionally with all levels.
- Able to work rosters and shifts, including weekends and public holidays .
