The Corporate Support Officer will report to the Manager (Admin and Finance) toprovide clerical and administrative support for the smooth and effectiveday-to-day operations of the school. • Coordinate students’ booklists and uniforms.
• Schedule, prepare and set-up meetings, including buying refreshments for meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrative Manager or School Management.

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE 'O' levels or equivalent with competence in English and a second language.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team, as well as independently.
• Relevant work experience in general administration, personnel, procurement, and training administration. Work experience in school administration will be favourable.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and comfortable in using IT systems.

Job Summary

The Speech Therapist, under the supervision of the Head of Department (Allied Professionals), is a member of the school’s AP Department. He / She works via an inter-disciplinary model with fellow allied professionals, teaching staff and parents / caregivers in providing speech therapy intervention (assessment, intervention, consultation and evaluation) to students with Mild Intellectual Disability, as well as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He / She will participate in case consultations and provide relevant support services to benefit students and their families. The standard of professional practice will be ethical and delivered with due consideration to the relevant legislation and procedures.

Job Description:

•       Identify and assess individual therapy needs of students using standardized assessment tools and school in-house assessment forms.

•       Facilitate development of appropriate and effective tools for identification, assessment, intervention of students.

•       Formulate and implement individual/group therapy programme for students.

•       Involve in the school’s interdisciplinary process of Individual Education Plan (IEP) and Individual Transition Plan (ITP).

•       Provide intervention for students on a one-to-one basis, group, class, work experience or special setting based on the needs of the students.

•       Maintain proper inventory and usage of therapy items/resources in the therapy rooms and update the need to replace or purchase them when needed.

•       Assist in the development and management of the budget for the Department.

•       Attend school meetings e.g. staff contact time, department meetings, committee meetings, interdisciplinary meetings and school holiday staff meetings etc. to keep updated on school matters and planning.

•       Attend internal and external trainings e.g. professional learning teams to keep abreast of the latest trends and developments to develop and maintain skills that increase effectiveness.

•       Perform other duties and be involved in committee work as assigned by the school management e.g. guide therapy assistants in supporting intervention work with the students.

Counseling & Student Support

• Provide individual and small-group counseling to support students’ social-emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal needs.

JOB GOAL: A High School Science teacher at ICS must have a strong understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and have experience closing the achievement gap. • Work in coordination with the Head of School and other Principals in the development of duty rosters, use of facilities, and schedules.
• Support faculty and staff in the routines of daily operations e.g. attendance, records, grading, reporting, etc.
• Safeguard the interests of the school’s mother organization (Network of International Christian Schools) and her mission.
• Assist Head of School with public relations, addressing requests, and answering inquiries.
• Complete any other duties as assigned.

The Social Worker, under the supervision of the Head of Department (Allied Professionals), is a member of the school’s AP Department. He or she works via an inter-disciplinary model with fellow allied professionals, teaching staff and parents or caregivers, and is responsible in providing support services and intervention to benefit students and their families, when difficulties exist and they interfere with the students obtaining maximum educational benefits.  He or she will maintain professional relationships with students and their families, acting as a guide, advocate and or supporter so that they are able to help themselves. He or she will participate in case consultations and provide relevant support services to benefit students and their families. The standard of professional practice will be ethical and delivered with due consideration to the relevant legislation and procedures.

Responsibilities

·       Provide financial assistance services to needy students in accordance with the school’s financial assistance scheme policies.

·       Conduct family and social assessment of students’ needs when necessary.

·       Provide interventions to students to support and maximize learning and adjustment.

·       Provide crisis intervention support in line with the school policies, including recommendations for financial assistance and supporting child protection cases.

·       Conduct family interviews for Placement Assessment Screening (PAS) and co-ordinate with AP staff to support placement and transition for new admission.

·       Maintain and update students’ case records with relevant documentation reports.

·       Provide consultation and update students’ progress to the relevant staff members and caregivers.

·       Conduct home visits when necessary.

·       Work in collaboration with teaching/non-teaching staff and caregivers for the effective enhancement of services.

·       Work with external agencies e.g. family service centres for the effective enhancement of services.

·       Involve in the school’s interdisciplinary process of Individual Education Plan (IEP) and Individual Transition Plan (ITP).

·       Recruit, train, and co-ordinate volunteers.

·       Conduct relevant in-house training for school staff, parents and caregivers.

·       Develop and review department and related policies in conjunction with the management.

·       Assist in the development and management of the budget for the AP department.

·       Assist in the stock-take and control of inventory of the AP department.

·       Work in collaboration with teaching/non-teaching staff in various school committees including school event planning, subject curriculum and school programmes.

·       Attend school meetings e.g. staff contact time, department meetings, committee meetings, interdisciplinary meetings and school holiday staff meetings etc. to keep updated of school matters and planning.

·       Attend internal and external trainings e.g. professional learning teams to keep abreast of the latest trends and developments to develop and maintain skills that increase effectiveness.

·       Perform other duties and be involved in committee work as assigned by the school management.

Requirement

·       Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Graduate Diploma in Social Work.

·       Minimum 3 years of experience in social service sector.

·       Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Singapore Association of Social Workers is preferred.

Grace Orchard School caters to students who have been diagnosed with Mild Intellectual Disability (MID) and those with Mild Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The school is specifically for students ranging from 7-18 years old who have Intellectual Quotient (IQ) which falls within the range of 50-70. The school is a non- profit organisation under Presbyterian Community Social Services (PCS).

Job Summary

As a vocational coach, you will develop and deliver the Vocational Education curriculum and shape the continuum of work experience for students, aged between 13 and 18 years old, with mild intellectual disability and/or autism spectrum disorder. You will also work closely with the community and industry partners to provide tailored and meaningful on-the-job learning opportunities for our students and ensure their smooth transition to the workplace.

Duties and Responsibilities

A) Curriculum Teaching and Learning

• Develop and implement training plans for students on Work Experience covering the teaching of relevant soft and hard skills in alignment with the curriculum.
• Design and customise training and assessment materials and tools to support and enhance student learning and engagement.
• Monitor and track student’s progress and provide ongoing feedback for their improvement
• Review and improve the curriculum and implement to enhance student learning, experience and outcomes.

B) Design and Implement the Continuum of Work Experience

• Design and implement a continuum of Work Experience for the different student profile(s).
• Identify and engage community and industry partners to create relevant and meaningful work-based opportunities to meet students’ strengths, interests and aspirations
• Collaborate with teachers, Allied Professionals, and community partners to co-develop skills development activities for students as part of the pre-placement preparation and training. Skills could include grooming and interview skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and Allied Professionals in co-planning and co-delivering the Vocational Education curriculum (i.e. vocational guidance, soft skills and hard skills) through the Continuum of Work Experience.
• Plan, design and implement work experiences in school, community and workplaces catering to students’ interests, strengths and working goals
• Work closely with community and industry partners to increase their understanding and support of our students’ learning and skills development in the workplace.
• Design and conduct pre-placement training and assessment. Liaise with work site personnel to put in place appropriate job accommodations and modifications according to students’ profiles and needs as well as requirement of the employers.
• Conduct regular assessment, monitoring and evaluation of students’ progress and performance at Work Experience using appropriate tools.

C) Provide Vocational Coaching and Career Guidance

• Develop the Individual Transition Plan for students with their teachers, Allied Professionals and parents to ensure smooth transition from school to post-school employment or further education.
• Identify suitable work experience for students according to students’ interests and strengths in alignment to their Individual Transition Plan.
• Accompany and provide on-site coaching and instruction to students on Work Experience.
• Plan and conduct career preparation/awareness activities such as site visits, field trips, school-based / community-based work experience for students.
• Ensure students attain the requirement for the work experience attachment, including the attainment of the WSQ Food Hygiene SOA, as applicable.

D) Communicate with Internal and External Stakeholders

• Share knowledge and insights on students’ interests, strengths and aspirations, and work progress, to the relevant stakeholders so as to garner support and facilitate effective coaching.
• Provide timely feedback on students’ progress, key areas of strengths and growth to families at suitable platforms.
• Forge and sustain strategic partnerships with volunteers, community and industry partners through creating awareness and capacity building.
• Advocate for opportunities for students to practice their skills in authentic settings

E) Administration / Other duties

• Manage administrative matters such as insurance and allowance for students on work attachments and internships
• Carry out procurement of training materials and tools for the work experience programme.
• Organise and maintain proper documentation in the School Management System on student attendance, data and records in relation to vocational training and work experience for reporting and decision making.
• Contribute to the assigned committee/team/taskforce in an engaged and constructive manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Recognised Diploma (minimum) and above academic qualification
• Relevant training in special education **
• At least 3 to 5 years of working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and or autism **
• Prior experience in vocational training, assessment or placement and job support **
