JOB PURPOSE

To provide excellent and effective duties / administrative support to the Corporate Management - Office & Facilities Management, thereby contributing to the smooth backend operations of Singapore Red Cross Society.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Operations

• To provide administrative paperwork support in the daily operation of the Admin Department.
• To manage the Office Management’s Assets Tagging and Tracking.
• To facilitate Stationery, Toilet and Pantry Orders and Distribution.
• General upkeep of the office.
• Oversee the schedule and duties of the Cleaner.

2. Administration

• Assist in tracking and renewal of contract with OM & FM Teams.
• Processing of monthly bills of the Society.
• Assist with procurement of general office supplies/purchase.
• Provide general administrative support whenever required.
• Data entry.

3. Any Other Duties

• Participate in Society events/activities, which occasionally occurs on weekends.
• To cover banking and reception duties in Receptionist’s leave of absence and meal hours.
• Work closely with Admin volunteers.
• Any other duties, as and when required.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma, preferably in the field of Administration or equivalent.

Experience

• Preferably with 1-3 years of relevant experience in general administrative duties.

• Good knowledge in G-Suite will be an advantage

• Supervise daily laundry operations including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and packing.
• Monitor staff performance, provide guidance and support, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Assign tasks and schedule work shifts to meet operational needs.
• Inspect cleaned items to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Monitor use of laundry chemicals and equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety.
• Train new employees on laundry procedures, machine operation, and safety guidelines.
• Handle minor repairs and maintenance of laundry equipment or report issues to maintenance staff.
• Maintain inventory of supplies (detergents, fabric softeners, etc.) and order as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Ensure all hygiene and health regulations are followed according to company policy.
• Communicate with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, or clients) to coordinate laundry needs.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience in laundry operations or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Basic mechanical knowledge of laundry equipment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and high-quality standards
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
