• Monitor database health, performance, and availability; proactively address issues before they impact service

• Perform database backups, restoration testing, and disaster recovery planning

• Apply database patches, upgrades, and security fixes in line with change management processes

• Manage database user access, roles, and permissions in compliance with security policies

• Tune queries, indexes, and configurations to optimise database performance

• Support application teams with database-related issues, schema changes, and deployment activities

• Maintain comprehensive database documentation and configuration records

• Respond to and resolve database incidents within defined SLA timeframes

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) in a production environment

• Hands-on expertise with two or more of the following databases:

  • Oracle Encryption (TDE)

  • Hardware Security Module (HSM)

  • Oracle (including Oracle RAC and RMAN backup/recovery)

  • Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)

  • MySQL

• Experience with performance tuning, query optimisation, and index management

• Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and DR strategies

• Understanding of database security, access control, and compliance requirements

• Ability to work within structured ITSM processes for incident, change, and problem management

Nice to Have:

• Database vendor certifications (e.g. Oracle OCP, Microsoft MCSA/DBA track)

• Experience with cloud-hosted databases (e.g. AWS RDS, Aurora)

• Scripting skills for automation (SQL, Shell, Python)

•Maintain & support day to day manufacturing activities in a clean room environment.
•Work with Engineer and Maintenance to perform real time problem analysis on equipment failures, alarms and SPC violations.
•Implement corrective/preventive actions to resolve line issues.
•Follow up PM/CM qualification to ensure equipment operate within specification and up to manufacturing in shortest time.

Job Title: Deskside / VIP SupportEngineer (L2)
Monthly Salary: $6,500 – $8,500 SGD

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide on-site, walk-up, and white-glove IT support for C-level executives, traders, and other VIP stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues on desktops, laptops (Dell, HP, Apple), and peripherals (printers, docking stations, monitors)
• Provide software support for Microsoft 365 applications, corporate applications, and proprietary trading platforms
• Perform hands-on hardware fixes, including component replacement (RAM, SSD, keyboards, screens)
• Set up and configure workstations for new joiners and executive moves
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and manage loaner device pool for VIPs
• Escalate complex issues to L3 support with detailed documentation
• Support town halls and executive meetings with AV setup assistance
• Respond to VIP requests within defined SLAs with a high degree of professionalism
• Document solutions and update knowledge base for future reference

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in deskside or VIP support roles in a corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with senior stakeholders
• CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate preferred
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification is an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading floor environment
