Title: Cloudera Administrator
Location: Singapore
• Monitor Hadoop cluster performance and ensure high availability of services
• Manage incidents, perform troubleshooting, and collect vendor logs for Cloudera products
• Execute application stop/start and configuration changes based on operational requirements
• Collaborate with OS, Storage, Network, and Compute teams for cross-platform issue resolution
• Support job failure analysis, queue management, and resource allocation within the cluster
• Perform patching activities and assist in minor platform upgrades
• Participate in NiFi template migrations and platform enhancement initiatives
• Contribute to backup and recovery processes for critical data sets
• Manage user access and authentication using Kerberos, Ranger, and LDAP
• Assist in Cloudera version upgrades and hotfix deployments under senior guidance
• Support disaster recovery (DR) drills and ensure synchronization between production and DR environments
• Monitor system health using Cloudera Manager, Grafana, and ELK dashboards
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Oozie)
• Basic understanding of Cloudera Manager and cluster administration tools
• Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills
• Familiarity with Kerberos authentication, Ranger security, and LDAP-based access management
• Understanding of patch management processes and platform upgrade workflows
• Good troubleshooting, log analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
