Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing (SoC). SoC is strongly committed to research excellence in all its dimensions: Searching for fundamental results and insights, developing novel computational solutions to a wide range of applications, building largescale experimental systems, developing theories and policies for effective management of information systems in organizations, and improving the well-being of society. Our research will focus on the design and implementation of next-generation AI accelerators, including the development of new architecture designs (dataflow designs), reuse patterns, caching and the development of the infrastructure of the system needed to support the acceleration of AI platforms.

The Research Assistant will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator and lab members on one or more research projects. He/she should possess experience or interest in at least one of the following research areas:

• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Hardware Design, Circuits and Systems
• Algorithms
• Programming Languages & Software Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth workflow.
• Receive, check quantity & quality, and sort incoming goods (parts and supplies).
• Store items neatly and accessibly in the warehouse.
• Receive and process incoming requisitions and issue parts and supplies for delivery.
• Pick and pack items for delivery based on requests.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and stock locations.
• Examine, segregate returned goods and notify relevant internal departments.
• Ensure all stock areas are kept clear & tidy for ease of picking and in line with safety requirements.
• Participate in regular stock-take exercises and perform ad-hoc warehousing duties when required.
• Liaise with forwarder, confirm delivery terms with supplier and provide invoice and packing list to the forwarder.
• Support in preparation of shipping / freight-forwarding documentation.
• Ensure world class customer service is achieved.
• Ensure compliance with company operations policies and procedures.
