REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline

Experience

The Function:
The ATS Market analyst directly supports the respective trading desk(s) in the Front office, as well as other analysts within the Analytics team. He/She provides analytical and pricing decision support to Analysts, Traders and Trading Managers.  He/She will also deliver market research reports to Senior Management and Business Development.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and ownthe assigned Product Supply and Demand (SnD) balances for up to 12 months ahead, and become the expert with an understanding of the key drivers for the projection (70%)

o Update the SnD regularly with the latest national statistics, project forward demand and import/export based on latest arbitrage flows/refining economics/seasonality

o  Perform vessel tracking for the assigned product flow

o  Collaborate with other analysts on product yield and refinery run forecast

o Identify opportunities and threats to the product group

• Provide views onforward product cracks, spreads, EW, refining margins and trading insights for the assigned product (15%)

• Support Senior Management and Business Development for market research (15%)

o Provide analytical supportfor management reports as assigned by Head of Analytics

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance,Economics or a related discipline

• 1 - 3 years’ experience in a marketing or trading analyst rolesupporting energy trading desks; experience with a trading desk/companypreferred
• Well-versed with refinery, petchem configurations and product specifications
• Proven analytical skills to collect, process, and evaluate large amount of data
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (including VBA) to analyse data effectively
• Quantitative skills (statistical forecasting) and knowledge of other programming languages (such as SQL, Phyton, and R) is preferred
• Experience with data / dashboard visualization software is a plus

Coordinate with site team for the progress, productivity, test requirements. Organize with testing lab for the JGP samples and obtain reports from Lab. Generate daily production logs, parameter with depth. Get data logger report and provide graphs for QPS submission. Cost control, prepare estimation with engineers, monthly progress claim submission to clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining detailed position summary for respective business unit
• Compiling daily profitability reports enabling traders and brokers to determine how market moves are impacting their positions
• Contributing to the weekly summary to Board on P&L movement
• Ensure all deals have an accurate Mark to Market.
• Maintain, calculate and issue daily price exposure to the Matrix
• Maintain profit / loss reporting to ensure these are accurate at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate GST and corporate tax filings with tax agents
