• Record vendor invoices in the ERP system.

• Provide back-up support to the Accounts Payable Assistant when required.

1. Reporting & Governance

• Assist in preparing and submitting financial and statistical reports for government subventions and funding.

• Support budget preparation, audit matters, and ad-hoc financial analysis.

• Prepare and validate submissions to relevant government agencies (e.g. MOH, AIC, ILTC Portal).

• Maintain accurate schedules and reconciliations for General Ledger and funding sources.

• Support forecasting and other governance reporting activities.

1. Collaboration

• Work closely with Singapore Regional Headquarters Finance, external agencies, and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.

• At least 3 - 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in senior day care centre or healthcare or social service sectors.

• Capable of managing and leading a small team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and good interpersonal skills.

• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to drive growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding market presence across various industries. This role focuses on building strong relationships with customers and developing new business opportunities.

The role also involves leveraging Makita’s full product portfolio, including power tools, accessories, outdoor power equipment, and cleaning equipment, to maximize business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling

• Actively pursue new customers and projects across various industries

• Identify end-user opportunities and collaborate with dealers and channel partners to convert them into sales

• Work closely with dealers and channel partners to drive sales and expand market coverage

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and offering suitable solutions

• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations of Makita products

• Identify opportunities to promote Makita’s full product portfolio, including power tools, accessories, outdoor power equipment (OPE), and cleaning equipment

• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing to provide insights to the sales team

• Follow up on sales leads and convert opportunities into sales

• Plan and execute sales activities to achieve monthly sales targets

• Support marketing activities such as roadshows and exhibitions when required

• Report to the Sales Manager

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in tools, equipment, construction, industrial, or related industries

• Experience or familiarity with power tools, outdoor power equipment (OPE), cleaning equipment, or related products is preferred

• Experience in construction, facilities management, manufacturing, landscaping, engineering, or related industries is an advantage

• Hands-on experience in product demonstrations and explaining product features to customers

• Experience in repair or maintenance of electrical equipment or machinery, regardless of industry, is an advantage

• Proactive and able to develop new business opportunities

• Good communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Possess a valid Class 3 driving license
